  1. If you studyied the assessment, diagnoses, interventions, abnormals and treatments you will do fine...have you taken the practice exams they seemed to help me at least getting into the realm of the form of questions...I found the questions on the actual exam to be hard but Im glad I did the practice exams....You may also look an EC's EPN board alot of students have quesitons and post them there...also they have a scheduled time for Nursing theory discussions...I dont have much experience in Maternity...When I finished the exam I thought I had failed and then the women handed me my grade I almost fell through the floor...It happened to be a "B" I couldnt believe it...Best wishes Donna :)
  2. Yes, like the others are saying....do all the readings...you dont want to take a chance missing any info. for CPNE...I use EC content guides, do the readings then use a NCLEX review book (Saunders, Lippincott, Mosby) to question myself for each section...take the practice exam...study some more take form B study more...also use studygroup 101 as an outline on sections Im not really understanding along with more reading....Best of wishes! Donna :)
  3. :crying2:Oh my goodness, didnt even know how bad it was...she will be greatly missed....my condolences to her family
  4. Yes, I heard of others doing it the way you did it at first and some have passed and some failed but when the went to take CPNE they had difficulty...it would benefit you to use study guide, studygroup notes, and if you wish purchasing a NCLEX review book i.e. (Saunders NCLEX review, Lippincott, Mosby) it may help you get in practice with test questions. Im hearing the CPNE is very hard....without doing the readings EC requires you may miss some important information you will need for this exam..Best wishes!
  5. Awesome!!!:) Best wishes for your next exam.
  6. You can do it....:)
  7. I have been doing the readings using EC content guides...Im alittle analytical and forgetful at times so I do a reading for the section, then do some quesitoning from Saunders NCLEX Review for that section...it helps me to remember with me working nights and trying to reverse my study time to days ...then when Im all finished with reading and questioning I take first practice exam...go over the questions, rationales...then take practice exam B doing same....sometimes when I feel I dont have a good understanding I will go back and read about it once again...the best way is try to find a method that helps you to understand the info. the best....some people find (audio, visual etc...) Best of wishes! :)
  8. Yes, those practice exams help you to think...and Saunders NCLEX review has been a good help....
  9. Best of wishes! I will be taking this exam soon myself....been trying to study and working full-time nights and finding the time to schedule the exam around my schedule...
  10. Try to focus on the EC content guides, these are the best sources of guiding your studying, if you dont really understand some of the information, you may want to look into other sources that will help you in your way of learning. Some people use (Video Tapes, etc..). The EC practice exams are a good source and will help you in the way of EC form of testing. Reading the rationales helps you to understand the reasoning behind the correct answers and why the wrong answers arent the best choices. Do you have a NCLEX review book? This might help you get started with questionining yourself. Best of wishes with your studying. :)
  11. I can understand...I had to take time off this past year due to starting a new job and my work schedule was working days and nights in same week...kinda difficult trying to keep my mind together for studying...you can do it..keeping focused at times is hard but try to look at the goals you have set for yourself it can be done...Best of wishes! :)
  12. Try to relax....have you used the practice exams? They seem to give a good direction to the way EC tests ...Best wishes :)
  13. I heard many different things about Our Lady of the Lake they having their own way of doing things and are not highly recommended in this area...you may want to look into other schools in the area as well i.e. Southeastern, Baton Rouge General seem to be good schools. Good luck with your endeavors :)
  14. You may want to try EBAY, AMAZON, Barnes and Noble for some audio tapes. I found it is best to use the EC study guide, practice tests, studygroup101. I have also purchased Saunders NCLEX review book to do some questioning and all sources have helped. I find it is best not to use too many materials that are different from EC's. It can get costly and they have different ways of presenting the material than EC. Best of luck!
  15. Try not to let all the negativity bother you...you only can do what is best for you...situations, people and laws change over time...anyway by the time you finish laws where you live might change completely...go for your goal..Best of wishes to you! :) Donna
  16. Congratulations! Best wishes on NCLEX :) Donna
  17. Congratulations! Keep it coming and soon you will be finished :)Donna
  18. I hear you girl LOL....Best wishes on LS3 :)
  19. Very understandable...I give you credit for making the choice and being concerned. Its easy for a person to forget the materials when he/she was stressed learning the material. Boy can I vowage for that LOL. When we have time to go over the information in a relaxed manner it is easier to understand it and easier to recall. Not ever knowing when we will need to use the information. Best of wishes with your upcoming exams! Donna :)
  20. Congratulations! :)
  21. You can go to Ebay or www.mystudygroup101.com, this is where I went so I could look over the site before purchasing them, when I purchased them you could do so by individual test or by the bundle. Good luck on your exams. Donna :)
  22. Awesome! Best wishes on CPNE :)
  23. You go gal! C=RN :) Donna
