I'm pertaining working in Canada in their LTC facility. Registered Nurses will have be in charge in the team consist of a Licensed practical Nurse and a Caregiver. So the Registered Nurses mainly does is assess the patient if it needs check up with a doctor and all other duties are taken by the LPN's and the Caregivers.

Suzanne if I work in a Home for the AGED, is that considered as a Nurse work experience ?

I am asking this question for a friend of mine Suzanne. Her problem is, the CA BON won't give her eligibility because her Hard Copy License was not yet released by the PRC. So she was planning, why not cancel the application to CA and transfer to NY Bon because a friend of hers told her that it's ok for NY BON not to submit a hard copy of her PI license.

Suzzane, I've been hearing rumors that getting the NCLEX exam in US has an advantage because the exam in any state of the US is simpler than in the Philippines exam center.

The New Mexico , VT and Cali is requiring Local License in the Philippines which is TRUE and it is not a RUMOR anymore.

Hello, I just passed my NCLEX exam and I am a filipino Nurse. I wanted to apply directly to a hospital anywhere in California. I'm really having a hard time looking for employers. please advice me on what I should do. I do have an Aunt who lives in Nevada and works in a Nursing Home, do you think it is advisable that I will give her my resumes and she will be the one to distribute it in all hospitals in Nevada ? PLEASE PLEASE advice me.

to Jiiffy, the Cali bon just emailed me 3 weeks ago and they were asking for my License. And since I emailed my application last November 2007 and I included in my application a letter why I don't have a local license yet. I think that their new policy now is that they require you to pass our LOCAL board exam because they really insisted that I need to pass a copy or proof of passing the exam. So what I did since I don't have a license yet. I photocopied my RECEIPT (the green claim stub) the one that you will give to the prc so that you can claim your license. I'm a December 2007 passer.

Could I still get a Working Visa from any state board of Nursing even though I won't apply at ANMC ? If for example I have no plans on immigrating to Australia. I really just want to work there because I could not leave my parents here.

I think you could not apply as a Registered Nurse either in NZ nor Australia. As a matter of Fact, they require you to have atleast 1 year WORKING experience and volunteer and training work is not accepted.

by the way, they require your WRITING to be 7. what you can do with that is to re apply again for another IELTS, and that means you have to take everything again.

Just want to ask, I read the Nursing Board of Tasmania regarding their requirements for Registration as a Nurse. It says there Overseas nurse applicants who are applying for migration should FIRST CONTACT the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Council for an application form for assessment of their Nursing Qualification prior to Making application with this Board. So that means, we first have to apply at the ANMC before applying to any state board in Australia. In ANMC, I read that we have to have atleast 1 year work experience. So does this mean that a fresh graduate like me is not qualified to pass an application to the ANMC ?

The problem with Philippines today is the LACK of hospitals. There are 600,000 Registered Nurses who are jobless due to lack of hospital Vacancy.. Where can we, fresh graduates be able to have working experience if anywhere in the Philippines we go, there's a sign that says NO VACANCY..

I wish that USA will add more strict policies so that illegal immigrants will be minimize. I heard lots of people going to US and overstaying there, to think they only hold a tourist visa. I hate the fact that a lot of filipinos get away with it. They are just bringing bad name to our Country !
