work for nurses....??????
hi! I still don't have a reply from the hospitals that I applied with. It's really advantageous if you know someone in the hospital that will help you get hired. If you don't know someone, you have to be patient and wait for several years to get hired. I thought we are also experiencing shortage of nurses. I never thought this is really happening to all nurses in the Philippines!!!!! Hope retrogression will be lifted soon.

where CAN I FIND A JOB
Actually, you are not alone. I can't find a job, too. We should be patient and think positive. What I'm doing now is a volunteer work and training. Some hospitals hired their trainees after training. I know sooner we can find job. just keep on looking. Be patient and pray.

Help! Unsure if I should accept my first job offer!
If I were you, I'll grab the opportunity. Nowadays, nurse will do anything just to get hired.Think about it. Opportunity like this only knock once. you'll never know if there are other opportunities that will come your way. We have to learn to sacrifice some things but I know it will be worth your effort. You can resign from the hospital if in case you think it's not really for you. Good Luck!

Nursing Practice in the Philippines
After four years of sleepless nights studying nursing, what's next after graduation? what's next after passing board exam? At first we thought that after finishing a nursing course, it would give us relief and assurance of a great future. Unfortunately, it would not be easy. It would not be easy looking for a job or even looking for training. There were thousands and thousands of new nurses in the Philippines without jobs. Some nurses tend to find job not related in their field of expertise just to survive. I am still hoping and praying that nurse organizations and the government will find ways to fix the unemployment of nurses in the Philippines.

Separate License for IV Meds?
What license are you pertaining to? license for IV meds? I haven't heard of that. What I know is a nurse should undergo training in IV therapy. This training includes med administration thru IV route, blood transfusion, mixing IV medication, setting up IV line and inserting IV and TPN. After finishing this training, you will apply at ANSAP (located at Lourdes hospital) for an IV license/card.

Saudi- MOH
I went to poea to apply. I'm a new RN without experience. MOH accepts nurses without experience but they need the board certificate (the paper na parang diploma). My application was turned down because I didn't have that cert. It will take 6 months (from the date of registration) to get this cert according to PRC.
