How often do nurses have sex in the hospital?
Working in a clinic, several docs have hooked up with nurses and even lost their jobs over it. One doc has the occasional daliance with a secretary or a pt, gets his hand slapped and back in business! Sadly, I have no personal experience to speak of, but keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

MA vs LPN
A "grater tittle"??? Is that something you use in the kitchen??? Ah, just kidding! MA's are not LPN's. MA's do not supervise LPN's. MA's are not equal to LPN's. LPN's have MUCH more training and education than MA's. LPN's have a license, MA's do not. I believe if you do a search you will find an inordinate number of threads on this very topic. Let's not beat this horse again, okay? Time to tuck in my tittle and head to work! :)

An Atheist Outnumbered by Christians at Work (an ethical dilemma)

Referring to CMA's as nurses
Same ole song and dance... No, CMA's are not nurses and should not be called nurses. *YAWN* Why is this a recurring theme?? Why does it ruffle your feathers so? Yes, you've earned your title! No, not all CMA's want to be nurses. No, my badge is not flipped over to hide my title (one of the most ridiculous things I've heard yet!) No, I do not call myself a nurse but I can't help that others do. "Nurse" has become a generic term for anyone working in the office taking vitals and such. It's unfortunate but there it is. Can't we all just get along???? Seriously! I'm so glad I don't encounter this attitude where I work. go ahead, let the MA bashing begin! AGAIN!

Improper glove use at your local eatery(s)
People everywhere have been cooking with bare hands since the beginning of time.

kind of a rant
While I completely empathize with you and your complaint about the types who frequent the ER, I take umbrage at your disparaging remarks in regard to FP physicians. Bottom of their class? Do you blame FP for the overload in the ER?

Improper glove use at your local eatery(s)
The reality is that a fast food eatery is not a sterile environment and to compare your favorite SubSandwich place with a hospital is ridiculous. Yes, they should wash their hands more often, shouldn't everyone? Eating fast food anywhere is always a risky endeavor as they are usually staffed with minimum wage workers who really couldn't care less. Really, who needs mall pizza anyway??? If you're that concerned perhaps you should consider your food choices and not how it is prepared. On the other hand (literally) I'm all for getting rid of those disgusting fake nails on everyone. Talk about a breeding ground!

How often do you get sick?
Once a year... end of Dec or sometime in Jan. I'm expecting it any day now!

Migraines and work
Good grief! Why must we be ashamed of migraines?? Because it's mostly a female affliction? If more men got migraines the world would shut down while they recovered. Seriously! You all know it! I've gotten migraines since high school. I've tried everything to figure out the trigger but mostly it's been either stress, hormones, the weather, wine, fatigue, chocolate ... uh, tight clothes, red lights, long lines at Subway, my team lost, irritating people. bad grades, the color red.... well, you get it. It doesn't matter what causes it, it happens and we do what's needed to handle it. I have this "aura".. that whole blurry, flashing lights thing. I feel like my eyeballs are rolling around in my head and, it seems to me, that everyone can see it! Now, if I'm at work, I pop an Imitrex and then try to continue on with pts, struggling to read the chart, acting concerned while my head is exploding.. then the Imitrex kicks in and I'm jelly. Imitrex works for me but it wears me out. I'm lucky to work with a team of docs who understand and are amenable to any solution! I think you'll find that you have more allies than you know. good luck! :)
