    Im a new ED RN....I am not allowed to do conscious sedation because I am not of that RN class yet (according to a very knowledgeable staff member)...I am not questioning that staff member, rather simply looking for more information about this issue.....

  7. how do i get into ER nursing after school?

    Im a new grad in May. Ive got a job lined up at a local ER, but I did my preceptorship in one, and then they offered me a job. I would try to get involved in the ER before you graduate.

    no, NC is not any different. I applied many places, however, got lucky in my small town hospital and offered a job at my preceptorship. good luck

    we had to get it for our final semester (current semester)...great book actually. it doesnt have everything we need to know, but the stuff it does have is really useful

    im about to do it starting this summer. i am finishing my preceptorship in the ER now, got offered a job as soon as i get licensed, and am starting an externship in march to to a long orientation first. pretty excited about the whole situation.

  13. no im not jealous of anyone. id love to have your experience, but that would mean i would be much older and not starting a new career. maybe i can comment on this thread again after ive had a few interviews

    I wouldn't let that stuff decide what you do. Haters gonna hate and you can't let them hold you down. If you check out nursing and like it, just do it and deal with people and situations like that as it arises.

    What would it take to get your RN license in North Carolina and then move to Georgia and work as an RN there? What would I have to do to be an RN in GA in that case?
