Hi my name is Stephanie and I am an LPN working in an assisted living facility. I aplied as an LPN and they asked me to come in for a group interview I went and then they called me a couple days later and the ALM offered me a medtech position since I didn't have any healthcare experience. I just started working there and I already don't like it and the hours that she has me working is not great and she refuseds to budge on the issue. The commute is crazy especially with no car and relying on public transportation. I feel that my LPN skills are not being utilized by working as a tech. Not sure what to do need advice ? I want to find something else before I leave the facility. Advice Needed?

Hi, My name is Stephanie and I am a new LPN graduate who received my LPN license this past November with no job in site. Though I applied to numerous places through out the DC Metro Area. I applied as a Psych Tech at Dominion Hospital and the HR lady just called me to set up an interview for tomorrow afternoon. I'm usually not too good with interviews , advice strongly needed. I just hope she doesn't turn me away because I lack experience. I've gotten that story a lot for the past couple of months. Any advice is appreciated. Thank You, Stephanie

In the same boat here in the DC metro area, I have had my license since Novemeber abd still can't find a job. It's ridiculous, how are we supposed to get experience if we can't work.

Hello, My name is Stephanie:eek: and I am from the MD area. I need advice badly , about a job situation. Ok here it goes I applied for this job that a family member of mine used to work at and I filled out all the paper work. The lady told me to come back and then she would talk to me about the position. Well anyways she never called me back I would call her and then finally I got her on the phone and she told me that I needed to talk to someone else and so I did. Now this person had me come up there and I filled out the paper work and everything, and then she drops the bombshell that the position is not a permanent position and that it is a PRN position and that I have to get a DC license and once I get that I can start working, she couldn't even tell me when the orientation was. I don't know what to do , should I take the position or not, I'm confused need help desperately? Oh yeah I'm a new grad with little health care experience. Thanks Stephanie

Hey mackzzz, The only advice I can give you is not to be too nervous , know the company and just know your basic lab values, medications because sometimes they give you a little test to test your compentancy, Just be prepared. Hi my name is Stephanie and I passed my boards in November ( thank God) . Anyways I finally got an interview and all they have to do is do a background check, but my problem is that I am really scared to start working because my school was horrible and we didn't get much clinical experience, and I'm so worried that I will make mistakes with people. I'm in the same boat here in the DC area and it is very frustrating to say the least. I'm gonna start registering for classes sometime this summer hopefully. At least one class in the summer and make sure it's an easy class at that. Keep looking you'll find something, don't give up I'm not. Steph

Hi my name Stephanie and I just recently passed my NCLEX , the problem is that my school was not a good school at all actually it ended up getting shut down after I left the school. Now I am looking for a job but have no nursing experience and all the nursing postings say that the school must be accredited and must have at least 1 year experience , and I don't have that experience . This is very frustrating to deal with any help in finding an entry level position would be fine. I live in the DC Metro Area need a job desperately. Any help would be great. Thank You, Stephanie

Hi my name is Stephanie and I recently passed my NCLEX and now can't find a job anywhere. Everywhere I turn and look for work they require experience, experience which i don't have and on top of that my resume is not that great and neither was my school. Dahana that's the same thing that happened to me . I did mine on Monday and mine stopped at 100 and I tried the peasonvue trick and I got the good popup but when I looked it up at the Board of Nursing it says license pending, yeah I'm scared too. I hope this trick works, right now not sure. Stephanie

Hi, My name is Stephanie and I took my NCLEX-PN yesterday and it shut off at 100 questions. I nervously tried the pesrson vue trick this morning with my aunt on the phone and I got the good popo-up, tried it again and I again got the good pop up stating that are records indicate that you already registered for this exam, contact your board member for more information, and yeah it says my NCLEX Exam was delivered successfully. Does this trick really work I'm really anxious. Stephanie

Hi my name is Stephanie and I am taking my NCLEX-PN board for the 2nd time in September or October, and I have a question the first time I used Saunders book, but it is just so much information to retain. Now I have this study plan answering the questions in the back and then re-reading the chapters but it's just so many chaoters and content to go through. I also have Exam Cram and it seems much easier to go through though it doesn't have all the medications like Saunders has , so confused not sure if I should stick with the study plan and practice a number of questions from Saunders or use Exam Cram. Any suggestions would be great. Stephanie

Me too I failed my first attempt though I was Nearly Passing on all areas. I'm taking a review class and hope to do the NCLEx sometime in September when the review class is over. I just want to pass it this time. My name is Stephanie and I live MD.

Hey don't give up I failed the first time too, and I'm going to retake the test again sometime in September, trust me I felt like **** when I found out I failed the first time. but I am going to keep trying and I've been studying 2 to 3 hours a day and doing 100 questions a day too. A letter came in the mail yesterday saying I didn't pass but was near passing standards on all subjects what ever t hat means. I think the BON in my state just had my name up there for information purposes or something so ya have to get my money together and pay to re-register and I just brought Kaplan book and I'll study that along with Saunders. Hi my name is Stephanie and I took my NCLEx-PN on Thursday June 24th and I thought that I had passed the NCLEX-PN but I just received a letter in the mail saying that I did not pass t he NCLEX-PN and that I am at a Near Passing Standard for all subjects, just burst into tears and the bad thing is that my name was on the BON website and I told everyone that I had passed now I have to take my NCLEX again and tell my mother that i really failed. It just sucks, I have to re-read my Saunders book and do the NCBSN study questions and I have exam cram too. I'm just going to keep studying. Steph

I just found out that I failed the NCLEX-PN exam and I am so crushed and bummed out right now I was under the impression that i passed my exam becuase my name was on the BON website under licensee verification, but today I got the letter stating that I had failed the NCLEX-PN. I'm just so sad right now and in tears, jsut devastated, all my plans are up in smoke now I have to take it again. Your message is inspiring and I will continue to study again.
