Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
The PVT does truly work. I took my exam March 31st, saw my name on the CA BRN website on the 2nd business day, got my confirmation letter in the mail that I passed on 4th business day, received my official card on the 5th business day and received my RN certificate and packet a few days later...but all within 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. Luckily. I think that if you don't pass or have other issues (background, fingerprints, SSN, etc), it might take longer to wait for the results, but if you passed, generally I see that people get their results pretty quickly. My classmates saw their names on the BRN website after 2-3 business days as well. It also depends on holidays and furlough fridays, but for the most part it's been a pretty quick process for me even though I live in California. Thanks to PVT and allnurses for helping me in relieving my anxiety while I was waiting for my results!! :)

odd question
We were allowed to wear hoodies at my test site. they just ask you if there's anything in your pockets and hoodie but they never made me take it off. It can get cold in there sometimes. You obviously can't wear a hat in there, but I've seen people wearing sweats and sweaters to business casual. I would check with your test site if you have any questions just to be sure so that your anxiety is not increased when you have to take off your sweater.

Sharp new grad interview
Wow! That's great!!! Do you mind sharing the general format of your resume and cover letter? What's your background? I'm just wondering what they look for in a candidate? If you can PM me I'd really love to talk further... thanks!

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Follow the instructions in the red font writing, on the first post in this link (it is also the first page of this PVT thread FYI) https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-true-374829.html According to the trick, if you go to the credit card area, then you failed, and if you get a pop up that tells you to contact your board member because another registration cannot be made, then you passed. Tried and true, I can attest to both outcomes, because I've received both before.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I tested on March 31st in CA too and found my name on the brn website (this was the third business day) this morning. You should give them a call to see if your file is complete or if there's anything missing. It looks like a couple of other people besides myself who tested on 3/31 in CA also got their results so there may be other reasons why. They could be still processing it, something could be missing, other parts of the app (ie. I've heard that some have been held up because of background check issues, etc - not saying that you have any, but it would be wise to check) but you should give them a call. Good luck.

nclex-pn 3000 free link!!
Not sure if you've already taken the test since this post but here's the link for the nclex 3500 that I also got on one of these threads, don't remember which one or else I would give credit to them because it was very useful for me. This one is for the Nclex RN. Hope that helps! BTW - It works only in Internet Explorer, or should I say it works best in Internet explorer. If you use any other browser, an error will come up. http://libtc.utmb.edu/nclexrn3500/mainMenu.do;jsessionid=E6928F806D5DBAAE657528E35606B099

WAITING FOR ANSWERS!!
Congratulations!!! I was just wondering what kind of pop-up did you get on your first post in this thread that told you your results are processing? Did it say they were on hold, or did it say to contact your board member because another registration can't be made? Just wondering. Thanks.

help dont know what this means
You can do it! Reflect on how you studied, clear your mind and regain your strength to start again if that is the case. Come up with your study schedule and stick to it. It is passable! Even good nurses have taken it several times. To answer your question about time frame, as long as your status on Pearson Vue says "delivery successful" for the exam, then you can go ahead and try the PVT. I tested in CA and like 2 minutes after I left the test center, I did the PVT because it already said "delivery successful" for the status. Hope that helps and good luck!

I also haven't heard of anyone who got to the CC page and passed. A close friend of mine got to the CC page three times and three times he did not pass. But you never know until you receive the official results in the mail. Good luck.

NCLEX-RN testing on March 31st in Ohio!!
There's a whole thread about the pearson vue trick or PVT -- https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-true-374829.html Instructions on how to do it, is listed in the red font on the very first page, first thread of the discussion. Good luck. Basically what you're doing is re-registering for the test through Pearson Vue and and if the registration process lets you get to where you can put in your credit card information to pay for the test, then that means you failed and if you get a pop up that tells you to contact your board member because another registration can't be made, then that means you passed. But you just have to make sure that your test status on the pearson vue portal says "delivery successful." Full instructions are on the link if you're curious. I've used it 2 times with accurate results. CC page means fail, good pop up means pass. Good luck.

How did you fund your accelerated BSN?
Are you planning to work during nursing school? Is this school in your hometown, or are you moving away from home, which means you may or may not extra expenses for rent, living, food etc. In terms of loans, you should get as much as you can from direct loans, which your school should offer. My school went from offering staffords to direct loans which are directly from the federal govt without a middle man. I had to pay for living and everything and my direct loans were certainly not enough to pay for everything--- with expensive books and stuff. I had to take out alternative loans and a private loan as well. Apply for what you need while you're still employed because you may need a cosigner once you do not have an income on most alternative loans. Some schools have weird financial aid periods and made me reapply for loans two to three times a year because even though I applied for enough to cover the whole year, they had aid periods that only allowed me to borrow so much money during a certain period according to the classes I was taking. If you want more specifics, you can PM me and I can give you more specifics about my experience.

How did the trick work out for you? Did you get your results yet?

Nclex RN --very depressed
You can do it! It's nice to have the support of people who are or have gone through what you are currently going through. I've been there and I had to find it within myself and believe that if I really wanted it, then I would get it no matter how much blood, sweat and tears went into it. Clear your mind and then get back on track. When you get your candidate report from the BRN be aware of what your weaknesses were but study all over again like you never studied before for the exam so you are able to retain a little bit of everything. That' s just my opinion because that's what I did and it really helped me. I knew my areas of weaknesses and worked on that extensively. Know your weaknesses and make them strengths and make your strengths even stronger. What kept me strong through the process were daily journal reflections on my experience so I am able to let off some steam, inspirational songs and quotes to keep you motivated. You can do it! I kept telling myself that everything happens for a reason and that when the time is right, I will get what I've been working so hard for. Your day will come! Just my

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
This time, I retook on the 60th day. I did the trick and knew the results and so I waited for the official paper results which arrived 10 days after my test date to confirm the PVT until I re-registered for Pearson Vue. I re-registered for Pearsonvue about 15 days after my test date and did not receive my ATT to actually sign up for a date with Pearson until about 2-3 weeks after registering with Pearson vue. I could have signed up to retake my test on the 46th day but I chose not to because I wanted enough time to review. So to answer your question, you may be able to retake your test on the 46th day depending on availability of the Pearson Vue in your specific area. Yes, you will have to repay $200 to Pearson Vue and $75 to the CA BRN (along with the application for retest). I sent out my $75 to the CA BRN at the same time that I re-registered for Pearson Vue, but others can correct me if I'm wrong, but the BRN has to confirm your eligibility and once they do, you will receive your ATT from Pearson to re-register for an actual date. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Let me know if it makes sense.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I took mine on 3/31 @ 8am in CA and I'm still waiting for my results. I'm just keeping myself busy while checking the BRN website every morning. It's only been 1 whole business day so I think I would give it a couple more days. 3/31 was an observed holiday for the BRN and they were closed on Friday, April 2 because it is the first Friday of April (The BRN is closed the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Friday of every month until July 2010, you can look this up on their website). I've seen some see their names on the website after 5 days and some after 2 days, so it just depends. If maybe after a week, you don't see anything, I would try calling the BRN to see if your file is complete ie. transcripts etc. because I've seen some posts where people got the good pop up and waited to see if their name was on the BRN website. After waiting a week, they decided to call the BRN and found out that they had an incomplete file with the BRN because the school did not fill out the form for their transcripts. This person did pass, but after resolving the transcripts issue which she had no idea about, until she called the BRN and figured it all out. I have hope in the PVT because I've received the CC page before and this time the pop up so I'm looking forward to seeing my name in a few days. Keep yourself busy doing other things you didn't have the chance to do while studying day and night for this test. I've been reading books leisurely, catching up on television shows, movies, putting time in at the gym, and just relaxing while I wait for the results. Another good thing to do is to start looking for jobs in your area, updating your resume, and anticipating applying to jobs! I'll let you know when I get my results and I hope that you'll keep us all posted on your results as well, especially since we both took it on the same day in CA. Good luck to everyone who is waiting for their results and to those who got the CC page...I've been there too...don't give up...you didn't come this far to give up...your time will come!
