  1. Thanks MedSurg32RN. Does this apply to the surround areas? Cambridge, Somerville, etc.? Or are these places considered "Boston"?
  2. Thanks for the links Silverdragon102! I hadn't seen one of them, so it was helpful. Do you have any suggestions of work outside of hospitals that would a decent start at getting experience?
  3. Silverdragon102, Thank you for your suggestion. However, I have already spent hours reading through the posts in this forum and of the like, so I'm already a few step ahead of you on that one. I am asking those in the area to see how things are now, a lot of what I read through was from 2008 and 2009. The economy is not a night and day fix so I am curious how it is most recently. Have you ever worked in the area, before UK/Canada? If so, then my question does actually apply to you.. I'm wondering how the market is these days, as in past couple of months. Recently. Thank you for you time and thoughts
  4. I'm a RN from Ohio, may be moving to Boston soon. I, too, am wondering if anyone can shed some light on how the new grads job market is doing these days in Boston and surrounding areas. Thanks!
  5. I passed!!!!! Yay!!! Everyone stayed focused and positive!!! I did not take the new version, the new one started April 1st.
  6. hey everyone! I had 75 questions yesterday and still do not know anything! Praying for a pass!!! I did the PVT trick and got a good pop but I can't let myself get excited until I know for sure. good luck to everyone who is yet to take it. I will post when I find out!!! Ahhh :)!!!
  7. Thanks! I'm trying to keep stay positive and studying. It's hard when you hear about or read about a disease and that reminds you you don't know much on that specific disease. I'm a very detail-oriented person so I feel like I need to know everything, yet I know I just have to keep myself focused on the basics at times. I'm north of the Cincinnati Area. I scheduled nclex on March 7th for the 31st. I only looked at a couple locations to take it... one in the Cincinnati Area had times available on the 29, 30 and 31st and the Dayton Area one only had times available on the 31st. I was surprised, I am thinking it has something to to with the newer version starting April 1st. I took the review course by Mark Klimek in December before taking Hesi-he was amazing, I highly, highly suggest his review course. I am thinking about sitting in the next Cincinnati Area one next weekend before boards. It's free to sit in after your first paid course. Good luck!!
  8. Thanks everyone! The nclex forum is great, thank you for telling me about it.
  9. Hi, everyone!! I am close to taking my boards... March 31st! I am getting really excited, possibly to mask my nerves :)! I am testing in Ohio. Does anyone have any suggestions, words of advice, or anything to offer? I am hoping I can continue to focus on reviewing and getting myself mentally prepared for the test. I love these forums because I know that we can all really empathize how each other feels with all this stuff. Thanks!
