  1. GPA 3.7 1 yr $48000/yr
  2. The OP didn't ask if we thought she should get a tattoo...
  3. I also used Hurst review and loved it! I also agree with the above poster about the LaClarity book.
  4. Just another case of someone referring to themselves as a nurse when they're not!! Grrr...
  5. Unless she is referring to a nanny...I often see on these reality shows where the people will hire a "baby nurse" to help them at home after the baby is born. I'm not sure if they are actually nurses or nannies though.
  6. Yeah, I was averaging around 65% and I also passed with 75 questions.
  7. Really??? Geez...
  8. The "incredibly easy" books are good! They have a ton for nursing related subjects. They explain things really well! Good luck!
  9. Sometimes this is the worst place one can go for advice, support, and understanding. Even though that is essentially what this site is for. It's so sad how quick people are to pass judgement on this site. I hope your daughter and grandbaby are doing well. And for what it's worth, nothing would have kept me from being with my 17 year old. Oh and yes this was a potentially emergent situation if she was losing amniotic fluid or doesn't the life of the baby count here? I know, I know most born at this stage survive it is still not an ideal situation for the little one!
  10. Geez! Always a killjoy in the bunch!
  11. If I stayed home everytime there was bad weather...I would never go to work!
  12. I say go to your pinning. You're never going to get another pinning. I understand your dilemma though...being a single mom and knowing that jobs are hard to come by. But there will be other job offers...there will not be another pinning!
  13. I am a new grad as of May. I work in public health...no weekends, no holidays, I work 8-5. I don't make 60K/year though...more like 48K, I am in Wyoming. GREAT job!!
  14. Wyoming. Graduated May 2010 with an RN, took the NCLEX on July 21, started working on Aug. 18.
  15. Wow! I can't believe how rude some people can be on this site! She was just asking for some simple advice. I don't know what is wrong with people on here lately. I've been seeing several rude posts lately, comments that have nothing to do with the original post. Geez, let's support eachother here...that is what this site is for!
  16. The Nurse-White Stripes Coma- Guns N Roses
  17. geez there are more important things to remember than how to spell HIPAA! HIPPA HIPPA HIPPA...insert evil laugh here!
  18. I work Mon-Fri, 8 hr. shifts. I don't know how old your children are, but mine are school age and it works out perfectly. They are only home for an hour before I get home. I'm there to make dinner and help with homework and to tuck them in at night. Three days a week sounds appealing, but like the other poster said you are so drained on your days off.
  19. Geez! Lighten up! It's stuffed animal!
  20. Get an NCLEX book, and start going through that. The fundamentals book is a good idea too! I have to say though, NCLEX books helped me the most all through nursing school! Good Luck :)
  21. I totally get it too...and I think it's cute. I think its rude how alot of people put her down for it...we all learn differently. I also am surprised at how many people didn't get it...I wonder how these people do with critical thinking.
