Hi. So far there is no bad experience for me here on harassment. UAE consists of 7 Emirates (Fujairah, Sharjah,Ras Al Khaimah,Umm Al Quain, Dubai (the commercial area), Abu Dhabi (the capital city) and Al Ain. Ras Al Khaimah takes around 5 hours in going to Abu Dhabi. RAK is laid back compared to Abu Dhabi, according to my doctor who stays there. Abu Dhabi, has a catholic church alongside the mosque and orthodox church. Practicing your religion is never a problem here. UAE has variety of Nationalities living here. The only thing here is the commodities are getting higher and the housing is getting more expensive (although they will give you an allowance for that if you want to live out from the accommodation). There are disco houses , cinemas, pork, church, you name it. It is just like back home (Phils) and the thing is i just feel safer here. UAE had opened a lot of opportunities for me - within my two years of stay here, i was able to take exams for prerequisite in moving to USA. Hopefully when retrogression will be over (please Lord!) I'd be moving out. Please read your contract before signing..PM me if you like. jay-ann

hi mhae7, sometimes it depends upon you, if you learn quickly thru classroom setting then go for it...i passed my CGFNS and IELTS thru self study only, it works for me that way because i am in control of my time.

Hi yajrn, i was wondering why your visascreen is still not available...i applied mine last april 14,2007 thru the net and then got my visascreen on the 28th, it was quicker than having my CGFNS Certificate...

Hi leilah, you are not alone with your struggles. You are lucky to have your family beside you and making a difference in their lives. You have a big heart. remember that there will always be a blessing to all the sacrifices that we make. this may not be your time yet, but dont ever lose hope. take your time and try to unwind first before tackling the exam again. i am studying for my second NCLEX, but i bounced back from my temporary setback...still hoping that one day ill make it...take care.. smile..there are many reasons to be happy. hi there. i applied thru CA BON but it didnt took me 6-12 mos..i applied for my eligibility jan, then i got a reply from them april...the advantage is your ATT is good for one year..just use your address in the Phils, better.

thanks cher, i believe that i can make it, with proper study..it was just not the right time...instead of dwelling on the "dark side" i count my blessings instead...i take this humps as a challenge...and ill never give up... we can do it kemerick and all the ones who did not make it..we will be RN's as this is our "calling"..Good luck to all of us..

hi cher, congrats to you! thanks for your inspiring words. i've recently didnt make it with my NCLEX (Jan 7) but somehow it didnt make me depress.it is sad but maybe it's not yet the right time.. it's just an exam and it's not a measurement of my capabilities being a good nurse. right now i am picking up the pieces, in fact i have just sent my re-application to CA BON, and that's a good way to start...and after a week i'll start to pick up my books again, double my effort. it's very hard to work and study at the same time and i am not in my own country.. thank you for such a nice words..it's inspiring..this is just a temporary setback and hopefully i am going to bounce back..nothing will hinder me to achieve my "calling" being a nurse...

hello otan11, don't be toooo discourage, maybe this time isnt really for you. just take it again. it won't make you less of a person if you didn't make it...which nursing board you took and what date? it seems you got your result early. i took last jan. 7 and yet result is still not available...Good luck again to you

crzylinn hello, the main problem is the waiting period and since you don't have anyone to talk with, this website is great! people are so emphatic here. with regards to pressure, i am ! (knowing everyone in my family knows how hard i worked)..everyone feels after the exam failed but most of them passed....but in the end we have prayers to keep us sane while waiting...no result yet for me, so i try myself to keep busy...cheer up...and you'll make it....

Congrats elenova! That was less than a month for you to wait. I have trouble sleeping nowadays. Everyday I am checking my mails..It's 17 days now, and well I will try to be more patient...I wish there was quick result.. anyway, did you get it in a white envelope? Was it thin? gosh, i am so worried..
