  1. New grad RN 25.28 Kindred Hospital
  2. Relax!!!!!!!! I know how u feel. I was ready for NCLEX, I was well prepared. I took the test on the 11th and found out on Sunday that I passed with 75Q's. Do not study the night prior to the exam. I know it's hard to not grab the NCLEX materials but u need sometime to catch your breath and feel good. I thought the NCLEX was pretty comparable to the study material I used. If you have been practicing and reading rationales u will be fine. FYI I had prioritization, math(gtts), medications, and SATA. U will be fine. U need to build up ur confidence, take ur test and then have a cold one!!!!!!!!!! I usually don't drink, but I drank the whole weekend with dinner!!!!!!!! Good luck to u:hrnsmlys:
  3. :hrnsmlys:Quick results came YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Thank you to Suzanne4 for an awesome plan, thank u to all on this site for the support. Good luck to all CMarsh, RN
  4. and no quick results. Does this mean I failed?
  5. it will be 48 hours since I took the NCLEX. What is the chance of pearson giving quick results today?
  6. Would u consider questions related to ventilator troubleshooting and hyperosmolar non-ketonic hyperglycemia more difficult questions for the NCLEX RN? I took the test early friday morning and felt okay when i left the testing center but since have been reliving the test and now I know in my heart I failed. I had 75Q's. I prepared like crazy. I cannot even count the amt of practice questions and rationales i reviewed. Anyone think my results will be ready on Sunday?
  7. It'll tell u, Good luck
  8. It has been 24hrs since I completed the NCLEX RN on Friday. I am ready to vomit. I couldn't sleep the night before and I woke up at 2am today. I had 75q's but that means nothing. I worked so hard. I have a husband, and 2 children. This has been a journey for all of us and I don't want to let anyone down. I've been an LPN for six years and have been working at my current place for 5 years. The pressure to pass is getting to me. I just want to cry.
  9. I know quick results aren't ready for 48 hours, but when I took LPN boards they were available in 2 hours. I can't stop looking at the Pearsovue website to find out if i am going to be an RN. I am so nervous. I finished the exam at 0830 and it's only 1200. Time is going by so slow. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! I keep reliving the test. I am pretty sure i failed:o
  10. Hey the chances of passing at 75 are very good. I am sure you did fine. You always remember what went wrong and not what wen right. Hang in there. I am testing tomorrow. Think positive ( thats what i am TRYING to do). Let us know.
  11. NCLEX test takers, did u find the NCLEX RN was easier being an LPN already?
  12. I am using Suzannes plan. Good luck
  13. Thank u! I am planning to take the RN exam, I am getting so nervous. How is it compared to the LPN exam?
  14. I attend ATS for the lpn to rn, they are will be starting semesters in January. It is a very flexible school for a working student. I loved the teachers, and yes i feel i will be prepared for the real world. Call them back they are very busy
  15. CSU offers IV therapy
  16. Take 48 hours! When i took the NCLEX-PN I was in agony and sure I had failed. When I arrived home I just checked the pearson website just in case and no results. Well 2 hours later, I had to recheck because all I was doing was pacing my home. I had my husband look it up cause I couldn't bare no I had failed. Well..... I passed and my results only took 2 hours from the time i took the test. I know the posts say do something else while waiting for the results but when your having that much anxiety what are you to do. So I say check for results often.
  17. I'm A New Grad In Nicu And If It's Want You Want Go For It. The Place I Work Has A Long In Depth Orientation Fo New Grads
  18. I would apply now in the area you want to work in. Work as a student nurse to gain experience. Once you graduate you should have a position. Plus this is a great way to find out what type of nursing you will enjoy.
  19. I know how you feel. You need to remember you can always help them but they cannot help you with certain tasks. Unfortunately "in the real world of nursing" pt care from nurses doesn't happen much. You have to finish what NEEDS to be done on time such as: Meds, labs, charting, assessments, rounds etc. Things the CNA's cannot do. ANd yes the transition is difficult but also remember you are ultimately respsonsible for the pt and if something isn't done who will management come to? Think about it. Good luck,i am sure things will come easier.
  20. Yes it is very realistic but the only catch is having to work at CCF for so long. But for some that is ok.
  21. I absolutely agree with you. It may not seem that way when working, but when you really get down to it there is a difference. Take a look at the physical assessment for instance. I am an LPN just finished the transitions course and started clinicals. The one i am going to love is NOT having another RN "covering" me you know what i mean. Good luck to you.
  22. Well Monday marks my first day of orientation to the NICU and i cannot describe the amount of anxiety i am experiencing. I am so nervous, excited, scared, worried, happy, sad you name it i am feeling it. I just hope i do well. How did all of you cope with that first day?
  23. Thanks prmenrs! I ordered the book and it should arrive by wednesday. So long did you work in NICU for? I look forward to the journey.
  24. Hey all! I am an LPN and live in cleveland i work at kindred hospital of cleveland it's a very high acute place to work and the lpn's do everything. I am ACLS certified, i take telephone orders, work in ICU, take care of ETT, you name it we do it. oh by the way the PRN rate is 30/hr for LPN and 40/hr RN. Not bad huh? Good luck. I am in the RN program at LCCC it's a really good school.
  25. Does anyone know any REALLY good books for NICU nursing? I am going to be working in the NICU as a NA2, and at the end of the year i will be an RN (i hope)! I want a book to help understand what i will be seeing and help prepare me for when i am an Rn. Thanks
