I actually used both to prepare for NCLEX. It really depends on what your problem areas are. If you are having a problem with content then I would recommend HURST since its a good review of content. IF you need help with test taking and the format...
Hurst Review is a class/online series which is a review of of gerneral content that you should have learned in nursing school. Just google Hurstreview and you should get all the information you need. The Kaplan decision tree is a way of answering q...
We didn't have to send out anything at my school. We graduated on December 19th and we received our ATT before the New Year. As far as NCLEX prep, we had NCLEX 3500/NCLEX 4000 on our laptops(the school offers its students laptops) and we also had t...
Drumroll please ...I PASSED MY TEST!!! Just paid the best 7.95 of my life!!! That trick works!!!! It works....it works....it works!!!! Oh yea, to all the ppl that are on here sayin that the trick doesn't work or that the trick is stupid....you ever n...
I know you are discouraged right now but some of the best nurses are those that had to struggle at some time with the curriculum. You will make it...just have faith. I am currious...what is Sussane (sp) plan that everyone keeps talking about?
I hope you all all right and I happy that trick ha worked for so many of you all!! I took the exam yesterday and I saw that infamous blue screen at 75 questions. I got exactly what I prayed for . I came home and ever since then I have been trying t...
I just took my HESI and I made a 1082 and I am so glad that it is over with. I can tell you that it is not the end of the world if you do not pass (the first time I made a 791 and you have to make a 900 at my school). What I did to prepare for this...

It's an exit exam that you take before you graduate. It's suppose to be a review of everything that you have learned throughout nursing school. If you don't pass it, then you are not able to graduate and take boards (NCLEX)
I totally agree with what you said. I also think that you also need to make sure the teacher knows who you are. You always tend to get "brownie points" if the teacher knows who you are and they how bad you want it.

You should be able to use your student loans for pre reqs and nsg school. You should also try to see if you are eligible for any scholarships too. Just don't try to be like so many ppl I see that "live" off their loans and get into even more debt.
Okay this may be a crazy question but I'm going to ask anyway...the studyguide for HESI that you are referring to is for the HESI entrance exam or for the HESI exit exam?
Since you are just starting nursing school I would deffinately not go out and buy the most expensive steth out there however whatever yo do decide to get deffinately consider getting it engraved
It's all about priorities. If working out is important to you then you deffinately need to make time for it. Plus, while you are working out it will deffinately help you clear your mind and that will help out with school too.
Blessed I was wondering if I could possibly have a copy of the old questions that Hesi doesn't use anymore. I could use any help that I could possibly get a hold of. Thanks
Hi everyone, I am kind of new to this website, but I really do like what I have seen so far. Here is my question, I am trying to order some of books for the fall semester (I will be a Junior nursing student, yay!!), but I need a good care plan book...
I was looking for good care plan books on amazon.com and bn.com and everyone said that Nursing Diagnosis Handbook by Ackley and Ladwig was the best book out there. I think this is the book I am going to try out. Thanks
I am from Lake Charles, and with all of the experince that you have I think that your best bet would be to apply at Women and Children's Hospital. They have a very nice facility.
