If you've ever Failed the NCLEX for RN
I passed NCLEX the second time. I am a second language and I knew that the first time was lack of strategies. For my second time I did Kaplan questionare and I really learned from their strategies. I also did NCSBN and key with that one is to look at out for the pattern of the rationales they give you for similar situations, specially for delegation. I also were taught that I should be thinking about expected and unexpected when it comes to prioritization question and that the key of the ABCs is to check if your client is getting enough oxygenation to the main organs (got those from the the NCLEX Taylor review). I wish the best on your next try. You can do this.

NCSBN learningext.com
I think NCSBN can be helpful if you try to analize the reason behind their rationales and the pattern of them. I did Kaplan, NCSBN, and took Mosby CAT twice to give me some encouragement. I noticed for some of the questions for the NCSBN they will tell similar things and I interpret that as that should be the way I should be thinking when that topic or situation has been given to me. I believe it help me to get the key points. On the other hand Kaplan questionare is very good for strategies if that's what you lack. I wish all of you good lack and don't get discourage. Take care, be well, healthy, and happy.

Desperately need help for boards.
I Just took my test on August 1st for second time, and I was kind feeling despaired too. I passed, I think that for some of us it takes more strategies than others, and I know it is not so much about content because you know it. I learned strategies by doing Kaplan questinare CD, I did NCSBN and had one-on-one session with D. Taylor and I think they helped to get the mind set I needed to have. Read the rationale, but also try to analyze why some answers work the way they do. Think about expected and unexpected when it comes to prioritization, and believe that you can do it. If you would like more detail information about the strategies I used while taking the exam please send me a private message. Good luck and don't get discourage. You can do it;) too.

2nd language, 2nd timer and Just PASSED!!
:balloons: TOOK NCLEX 2ND TIME ON AUGUST 1ST AND FOUND OUT THAT I PASSED. THE COMPUTER SHUT OFF AT 203 QUESTIONS, BUT I PASSED. THIS TIME I DID NOT RUN OFF TIME, I WAS STILL HAVING ALMOST TWO HOURS LEFT TO STAY ON THE GAME. FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT MAKE IT YET, YOU CAN DO IT. IT JUST TAKE MORE STRATEGIES AND COSTUMIZING TIME. I DID NCSBN, KAPLAN QUESTIONARE, AND THE TAYLOR REVIEW. I HAD ONE-ON-ONE ONLINE SESSION WITH DR. TAYLOR AND SHE HELPED ME TO GET THE PROPER THINKING MODE YOU NEED TO HAVE WHEN YOU ARE TAKING THE TEST. I ENCOURAGE TO KEEP TRYING BECAUSE THERE IS HOPE .

Getting 60% on NCSBN What Does it mean?
Thank you, You are right I need to start building my confidence. If I made through nursing school I can deal with this exam too :). Regarding "think like those who wrote the test" I think is true my husband who became a nurse last January one time told me that and that's how he did so well during school and when he took NCLEX he passed with 75 question, but I was not sure what he ment. If you have more tips on how to do this keep posted please. I will let you know when I schedule my exam againd and about the results too. Thank you again and take care Crisgom

ANOTHER NCLEX question...
Where or how did you get the question practice CD from Kaplan? I am a second timer tester. Failed first time because I run off time, and I very scared now. I want to get it right this time, but I am not sure what to use. Currently I am doing NCSBN questions, Saunders, and plan to do 3500 NCLEX Review.

Getting 60% on NCSBN What Does it mean?
Does anyone have used NCSBN practice question? I have been getting 60% to 70% on their Q&A practice question, but I am not sure what is the probability to pass NCLEX doing their test practice. I am a second time tester and not sure what to use since I used Saunders and 3500 NCLEX question for my first time. Hope hearing any feedback from you. Thank you

Worried, 2nd time taking NCLEX today
Congratulations! Way to go. That gives me some hope I will be retaking mine sometime next month and I am very nervous about it. I have been also studying since I got my results. What did you do different? What do you think it really help for second time testers. Verey glad for you I wish you luck in your new career

I ran out of time of the NCLEX at 220, (is their hope!)
Sorry if I make you more worry, but I took mine beginning of June and ran off time also at 218 question. I did not pass and still not sure how that works. Someone told me that it like a monopoly game if you don't follow the rules you lose. I did not do the 265 questions that they required in 6 hours if the computer does not figured your level before, so I loss. Hopefully your situation will be different than mine Good luck

I Passed...Help for Future NCLEX takers
Congratulations! Your story is very encouraging. Where or how did you get the Kaplan test practice? I will be taking my exam for second time and I am very stress because I run off time the first time (at 218 question, took too much time analysing question) and I don't that to happen again. Thank you for your feedback and good luck with working or getting a job Crisgom

Take your time or pace yourself consistently?
I would say try not to take too much time early on your exam for the same reason that you don't know how many question you will get. I run off time because I was too slow at the beginning trying to get the question right. I took the whole 6 hours and I was at 218 questions. I have always been the very last one in finishing exams, but never thought this would happen. I feel like I would have passed if I had more time to finish the exam. You are the best to judge whether you are going slow, too slow, or a good pace. Sorry to tell this, but I wouldn't want anybody to get out of the testing center feeling the way I did. Good luck to you, stay calm and believe you cand do it.

Is there any hope with NCLEX for those who testaking skills are not so goo?
Hy everyone, I have been reading lately the messeges from those who have passed and those who didn't. I am one those in the last group. Everyday I try to motivate myself and continue preparing for my second try, but as the days go by the faith and hope seemed to be fading. Questions I ask my self are. What can I do with BSN degree if I don't have a license? Maybe medical sales? How can I improve my test taking skills, so I can get this grieving over? Well just looking for someone to share my feelings! Congratulations to all of you who already passed;)

Has anyone passed the Hesi but failed Nclex?
I would recommend Saunder because it seems to be the closest to what NCLEX is. Forget about HESI it does not help and it is not even near of what the NCLEX. Stay calm and have some rest too that probably would helped you the most. Good luck and I hope you do well

Just Failed, I am second language and now feel hopeless. Please help
Thank you for your comforting messege. I am feeling up myself with positive thoughts and cutting off my grieving process since is not going to change the outcomes. But sometimes still questioning why in the first place I wanted to be a nurse when nursing just have been bitting me up for the last four years. Maybe one day I will get rewarded if I am patient. Thanks again to all of you

NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy????
Can anyone tell me what the suzanne4 and how I can get it. I just took NCLEX and failed. I have been crying for several days and questioning myself about wanting to be a nurse anymore. I had a job lined up waiting for me to start in a week, and now I have to tell them that can't start because I failed. I passed HESI above 900, but failed NCLEX. In addition, I am second language, so I feel hopeless and discourage. Any advise will be will be appreciated. Thank you
