  1. Hi wondering what or if you chose a school?! I'm in the same boat. Currently looking to apply to a school
  2. this is an old post but if you are out there.... I also graduated from Capella in education but I have not been so lucky in the interview area ? any specific positions you applied to?
  3. Looking for advise. I have a goal to be in a nursing professional development position but I have having a hard time trying to get there. I have my MSN in education from Capella about 2 years ago and only working in the pulmonary clinic as a staff Nurse. Planning to teach adjunct to maybe an LVN program. I have no formal official teaching role or never held such a title and looking for recommendations on how to get to where I want to be if I have no experience? Also looking into getting my DNP in professional leadership, other than educational leadership-- thinking it may open a little more doors? correct me if I am wrong. It would be through Post University online. Send me your advise, words of encouragement-- (recently applied to a mentorship program but I didn't make the cut)
  4. I know this post is old, but wondering what you ended up doing/going? thanks
  5. thank you! I hope I do well. location is actually my place of employment so it works out! will definitely check out YouTube! thanks again!
  6. Wondering if anyone had been through a nurse educator fellowship program of some sort? I have the opportunity to interview for a program designed for experience nurses and I have chosen an emphasis on education. I've only worked the clinic and bedside so no official educator experience. anyone have any idea or advise on how to tackle what I ought face for this interview? im so nervous! LOL
  7. currently I have an MSN in education and looking for post maters AGNP, primarily primary care. is that possible to pursue? Im in Los Angeles, CA I may also consider DNP but I guess after a post master in AGNP?
  8. HI! I know this post is old but hoping you'll be able to share how did your 2nd interview/panel interview go? would love to hear your experience
  9. Hello. I earned my MSN in education online. Advice on how to practice or get my foot in the door as educator if I've been in telemetry and clinic the past 15 years? my online program didn't involve shadowing any teachers. advise please. Thank you!
  10. Is there a benefit to specializing in a DNP? such as choosing between DNP in professional leadership vs general? DNP? any input appreciated
  11. Jw what path you ended up taking?
  12. Recently got my MSN in education and working as a pulmonary procedural sedation nurse. with no prior teaching experience, what can I apply for? im in Southern California. thanks
  13. Would love to take a look at that price breakdown!
  14. Currently in a FNP program online and this will be my 2nd MSN. I have my first MSN in education and decided that maybe NP would be something I wanted to pursue but not after my first course, I am having second thoughts. Why did I want to be an NP now? I was thinking of going into aesthetic nursing but is it worth getting my NP to enter this field? I am 41y and it will take me another 3-4 years because I am going to school part time and still 2 kids in elementary-- its definitely taking a toll. In addition, finding my own preceptor will be hard and I don't want to pay for a site to provide one. Any advise? I am in southern CA. thank you!
  15. Hello I am in southern CA and have my MSN in education but eager to start a career in aesthetic. is it worth getting my NP (another 3-4 years) for this field or should I stick with my MSN (NON-NP) and train and earn certificates in aesthetic procedures? (I'm 41) is there a big salary difference? does being one over the other affect owning my own practice? any advise or experience appreciated!
  16. did you have to pay for your preceptor through matchNP?
  17. So are you just a RN? No NP certificate?… and own your own practice??
  18. HI! wondering if any online NP students are around southern california? Being in an online NP school, we are required to find our own clinical placements and looking for some direction. If anyone has any advice on where they went? how do you ask? recommendations where to start and whom to look for? I would greatly appreciate it! thank you!
  19. You are correct. I really don't want to pay out of pocket which leaves me no choice really but to extend the length of my program in order to complete the degree FULLY paid by kaiser. What I shouldve done was gotten my FNP first and then a psot masters in education because while post masters FNP is no offered by BHMT, a post masters in education is! but I can't turn the hands of time and financially I just cannot afforse 30-75K in attending a local school nearby for a postmasters FNP so ill stick with BHMT and hopefully I can stick it out! I hope you get to work things out as well!
  20. Oh! how can I find it? I've tried searching but I am at a loss!
  21. hello. just wondering if you ever found one?
  22. I know. I would also prefer just the post masters but it would be at least 30k out of pocket when I can have a second masters fully funded ? so wondering if I would be crazy to do another masters ... ??‍♀️ I know. I just wonder if it would be a waste of my time to do another full masters but at the same time it would be fully funded .... ??‍♀️
  23. Anyone with experiences from either school? Would be online.
  24. Which MSN do you initially have? Only reason why I would do another MSN is due to financial reasons. Which is why I'm so torn when I know I could just do a post cert
