Hi there everyone! I know there are a lot of Nurses interested in entering the Aesthetic field so I wanted to post about my experiences and how to get there. I started as a labour and delivery nurse, but knew I wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics so I took a course here in Ontario. The course I took gave me a certification, but I still needed quite a bit of experience before venturing on my own so I went to work for a large company in Ontario where I gained a lot of training and knowledge. After working for then for two years I went to open my own and now own my own clinic. I've never looked back. It's one of the only fields in Nursing where you can be an entrepreneur and get rewarded proportionally to how much effort you put in. If anyone has any questions or is interested in getting into the field I'd be happy to help. I also now run and train new Injectors in a certification course in Southern Ontario!
