Has anyone taken NURS231 through portage learning? I’m very curious about it and I know they work pretty good with students. any advice and tips would be very appreciated.
Has any one took any course through portage learning? How was it like? What’s your experience? I will be taking Chem 104 (Gen Chem II) and wanted as much insight as I could get before paying for it. I like that that it’s self paced and you have one ...
Do we have any HPU nurses? I need some input on the BSN program and if its a good program. Do they prep the students for NCLEX? and how are the faculty and professors?
How was the pathophysiology course? I’m debating on taking it. I wanted to start this may . Would I be able to finish by august? How were the exams and assignments?

I'm in the BSN program right now. I'm thinking about doing the online program after I graduate and start working. How are you guys doing in the program?
Hey! I am in the first semester right now and it is great. Very challenging but doable. We have classes like basically every day (weekends off). Due to the COVID-19 clinical's and all classes are all online but you guys hopefully will get to do clini...
I just got notified that I got into the traditional BSN program for Carson Newman! Has anybody else got accepted into Carson Newmans Nursing program? For current or previous nursing students, what is your input for the program? What Can I prepare for...

Have him get with his professors ASAP. Print the syllabus out and literally recite that thing. Ensure he knows what is expected from the class and what he expected to know for the classes he is missing. Also, if he has a good cohort he can ask a fri...
I forgot to also mention that I use picnomic and simple nursing to help retain and understand the information. It really breaks it down to simple terms.
I am in the same position as you. My health assessment instructor is great and at least kind of covers what to read and know. For sure know the nursing process, patient safety and etc. I'm sure that are some of the basics you guys went over.
Good Morning Nurses, Has anyone completed the nursing program at NU or currently in the program? I got accepted and wanted to know more about it. I'm super excited. Also what are the job outlooks in Vermont and starting pay for a new grad nurse?

Try taking classes through American Public University or University of Phoenix. They are good and transfer but always do your research and make sure you check that they transfer to the school you want to apply for. Portage learning is another good on...
Do they look at the other area for acceptance? Because I have everything done and have a pretty good GPA and pre-req grades. I just didn’t do as great on the TEAS. I got 58.7%, do I still have a chance?
I’m basically done with my nursing pre-reqs and finishing some general ed requirements. Have anyone took patho online? Is there any online patho class available? I will have to take it in the nursing program but I want to have a taste of patho before...

It is never to late! When I worked as a CNA there were some new GRAD RN'S that were around there mid 40's. Having another degree is great and you have that diversity and knowledge you can probably share within the hospital/clinic or wherever you go ...

I say try to talk to her and see if things can work out. Bring in someone else so there is an witness for eyes/ear of evidence in case SHE goes back on her word or whatsoever. If that does not work, speak to your other program instructors/faculty pe...
I say retake it again. I know exactly how you feel. I did amazing in my pre-reqs and overall GPA is pretty high. However I got a 58.7% on my teas. I plan to retake it, I need a 70% or better. Don't let this discourage you in any way, shape or form.

national guard goes by state, and it VARIES on what openings they have. For my state, they have no openings for nurses to begin with. Your best bet is to go reserves and give it a shot. Reserves is federal government and they have a lot more openings...

Was there no college rotc at your school? You can join as a DC (direct commission) and go AD or USAR. But for a 66T you would need to have couple years of ER experience. If anything you’ll start off like the rest of us a 66H (med surg nurse).
