Pray for me!!!!!!! Only 9 weeks until this assignment ENDS!!!!!!!!!!

I hope it goes by fast. I have aged 5 years in 4 weeks. It is the regular staff members that are making it extremely rough for me. 9 weeks, 9 weeks. Sounds like an eternity!!!!!

Hang in here, God will guide you. I do not understant why nurses are generally mean to traveliers or new employees.

Hang in there Raindrop!!!! :icon_hug:

Yep - hang in there. In 9 weeks you can leave and never look back.

Where is your current assignment?

yes do tell where this place is..

Where is your current assignment?

I'm sure it's not with us. Our travellers are welcomed with open arms!

So sorry you're having a time of it, raindrop. Remember we're rooting for you when you need a little moral support.

Thanks everyone.

Ans the assignment is at G. S. Ill STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I know of 2 travelers that have broke their contract to get out of this place. I can't aford to do that for a number of reasons.....

And you know what the sad part is? I really think it is the floor that I am working on that is hell, not so much the hospital. I have floated 2 times to other units and it was WONDERFUL. Everyone was great on the other units.

There is a new grad on *my* unit as a regular staff member. She works days, I'm on nights. When I was giving her report one morning, our report shifted briefly, and she confided in me how miserable she is. She said nobody helps her, they give her the hardest assignments and are just plain rude to her. She said she also thinks it is our unit because she has floated to other units as well, and she loved it. Our unit is terrible. who do these people think they are............?

Hang in there- only 9 more weeks! If the other units aren't that bad, I would volunteer to float whenever possible....

Be glad that you can leave in 9 weeks and aren't permanently stuck there needing to pay bills with this place as the only game in town. Can you imagine? Hang in there. TRAVELERS ARE LIKE MARINES tough, smart, and inventive.

If you don't mind me asking, what unit are you working on? ... was actually looking into a travel position there after my current assignment ends when I took one in Memphis.

OK, I have to ask.... why was the name of the hospital edited out??? Why is it not acceptable for travel nurses to utilize this site as a networking tool, sharing experiences (good AND bad) at different facilities, so other travelers know what to expect? Many of us travelers rely on others' experiences at certain hospitals when deciding if we will take an assignment there!

I'm just guessing, but I'd say it's because the traveler is still at that contract. Many don't want to post something on here with names until they are no longer at the place in case someone from the facility or agency read it (and many do!) and decide to make their life even more miserable.
