I am just wondering what everyone needs to pass nursing school where you are at. We have to have a 78 to pass (no rounding of course). What do you need at your school?

We have to have a 77 at our school and of course there is no rounding here either.

74% in my program in all nursing classes-no rounding. We also have to pass the HESI Exit Exam with a 850 or higher (only given 3 chances) to graduate....

I believe we need a 75% to pass our LPN program. I heard someone got kicked out for failing one test last semester though.

73% is passing in my program. We are only allowed to fail two courses. After that, you're out of the program.

The actual passing percentage is irrelevant, 'cos if a course instructor has anything remotely near a clue of what they're doing, they'll write exams so that the percentage of the class they want to pass should pass and vice versa. For example, in the program I graduated from any final grade below a C was grounds for termination, as were two grades of C on a student's transcript. We only had one person flunk out.

80%, no rounding. But thats only for the academics, you can still flunk out for clinicals or dosage.
Man i thought 78 was bad! lol we would hardly have anybody left it was 80..we had alot that barely passed with 78 or 79.

A pass for us is 80% for all tests and assignments except medical dosaging were the pass rate is 90%. Of course you can flunk out of your clinical for failure to hand in an acceptable health assessment. Or care plan by the final clinic day (no grade...instructor just has to think it it good)...or doing something unacceptable @ clinic could also cause you to be kicked out.
