Only a nursing student would do this!!

So yesterday I was heading off to take NC6, stuck in stop and go Boston traffic when a large dump truck full of rocks plowed into the back of my Toyota. First call that I made was to Pearson vue to make sure that it was ok to be a few minutes late. They said they could only give me 15 extra minutes or I would have to reschedule and have to repay the $235.00 fee.

Second call was to the Massachusetts state police. Then I got out of car, picked up my license plate from the highway, exchange info with dump truck guy, told him I was in a hurry and he should wait for cops, took picture with my cellphone, got into breakdown lane and drove like hell to pearsonvue in a totally erratic illegal way. Got a few fingers pointed at me but I made it to the test center with 2.5 minutes to spare. Got a B on Nc6.:smokin: When I finished the test, I limped back to my crumpled up new car that is not yet paid for and cried, took 2 advil and headed home to study for NC7. Who would do something like this? NURSING STUDENTS!!!:chuckle:up:

ROTFL!!! Oh, Maura! I am so sorry that happened, but you are SO FUNNY! :D Congrats on your B! Even with all that going on, you did well. Great work! :)

Are you ok? You said you were limping. Congradulations on passing NC6. You did pretty good after all that drama girl!!! :chuckle And you are soooo right, only a nursing student. :chuckle Take care.:heartbeat

Yes, I am ok, just stiff and sore now. Could not pee for 15 hours after the accident and was starting to get nervous. Even went to my magic bag of equipment for the CPNE, you know, the stuff I have acquired from my job, looking for a non=latex straight cath. Took one look at that cath and I peed like a racehorse!! :DSo all is well with me, my car is looking rather shabby tho.:(

Wow, glad you're okay. I cannot believe that Pearson would not understand under the circumstances. It's not like you were simply running late, there were legitimate extending circumstances. Congratulations on passing NC6! I went through EC ions ago when it was Regents. 1990.

I admire your dedication- and ability to prioritize!

Best of luck to you in school!:nurse:

I am ROLLING at the cath! Anyone watch the House where his Vicodin abuse catches up to him and he can't void? And Wilson's all, "You cathed yourSELF?!"
