Ok Class of 2017, Where are you??

OMG my husband and I started watching the first season of Game of Thrones yesterday. We only had time to watch three episodes but I'm hooked already! I can't wait for him to get off so we can watch a few more! Oh and my Amazon cart is getting pretty full also, just waiting to hit that submit order button!

I've seen several people on here post that we should fill out due dates in our planners as soon as we get our syllabus--just take an hour or so to sort everything out.

I definitely plan to do this. I am not sure if we get the syllabus when classes start, or if we buy it from the bookstore prior to classes starting. So, is every one doing ADN or BSN?

I'm going for my ADN, at least for now.

Hi everyone! I start my adn program in August as well. I am nervous and not necessarily in a rush to start but we still haven't received any notice on when orientation is. So far I purchased a planner (uncalendar) I plan to purchase my stethoscope and pen light soon. I'm so confused about the shoes there are so many to choose from I'm not sure where to start. We have a choice between all black or all white I am definitely going with black.

I am also enjoying my Netflix and wine while I can. I plan on enrolling in a BSN program immediately after graduation

I'm getting my ASN and doing a bridge from ASN to MSN right after graduation :)

Good luck, all of you. I'm going to offer you some advice I learned for saving money. First, for books check bigwords.com. It's a metasearch, like how kayak.com searches Priceline and Expedia for cheap flights. Except it searches a bunch of websites (including Amazon, B&N, half.com, etc) for cheap books, including rentals. Which is a thing you should do. Rent your books. Just don't forget to send them back.

I was considering getting some info from current students on books because there are some that we are required to use for multiple semesters so it would make more sense to buy them than rent. But it is something I was hoping to do again.

I am going to buy all of my nursing books. I think they will be a good reference through out nursing school. Thanks for the tip Dogen!
