So I'm a NS and...

Oh these words, these words!! :uhoh3:

I'll just say that I know when I can say "sphygmomanometer" with out sounding out every syllable and taking 72 1/2 seconds to say it, I will have victory!!!

:lol2:

Everybody has at least one term that hangs them up. What's yours?

There are a few med names I can't quite say. One of them is HCTZ. Yep, "HCTZ". I can say "hydrochlorothiazide" pretty reliably, but the abbreviation trips me up! I'll post again when I remember others.

Prosthesis.

Just can't ever get it to come out right.

It's just a joke of sorts...a play on difficult word pronunciation. I'm thinking the original 'joke' was coined from an SNL skit? But can't remember...

For the longest time I couldn't say prostatectomy... not good for a urology nurse. :D

Dysdiadokinesis... (not sure I can even spell it- but I know how to test for it!!)
