Tell you story here.

Ok, this may seem bad but I am currently at work. I got some down time right now. Anyhow, I'm working with another nurse who is rather obnoxious. She is in a patient's room right now, saying "Look at you trying to bite your mittens off, you're very talented." And she's yelling this at the top of her lungs. It's a small unit and the patient is not deaf.

Got a obnoxious co-worker story?

:argue:

We have a 73 yr old Korein vet that kept having syncopal episodes, he has a pacer & it was misfiring, she would scream at him as if he was faking it?

I had to ask her to leave the one day & care for him myself because of her rude behavior! She was an old school RN of 35 + years & thought that was the way to be? Now she is unemployed!~ rightfully so, she was counselled many times for speaking to staff & patients like that..

They all get theirs in their time..

The most obnxious co worker I've ever had was another nurse who was my age and had 2 kids with a crackhead (not being funny he truly was a crackhead) husband she wouldn't get away from. She was always leaving him and going to her mother's then going back to him 2 days later. She complained about money problems but was constantly trying to pawn her patients off on other nurses and attempting to leave work early or get someone to cover for her. Everyday was another sob story. We all felt sorry for her at first but after a while it got old and no one liked her. She eventually quit and I think shortly after that another of my coworkers ended up calling DHS on her. Even as anurse where we are suppose to be sympathic and caring after a while you lose sympathy for people like that.

I can't give specifics or I'd give myself away, but I do feel your pain! When the obnoxious co-worker(s) start irritating me, I remind myself that I did not marry them, are not related to them, and do not have to have them to my home for coffee. I just have to finish my shift, and LEAVE them. ;)

I share an office with 2 co-workers and they BOTH are obnoxious. One eats all day long and smacks on her food and talks with her mouth full. The other one tells the longest stories EVER. If you need to ask her something, you better have an hour...SHe takes for ever to answer a question and gives you all this extraneous information. AGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Save us all from the co-worker drama of marriage problems. We all have times in our personal relationships that are terrible. We all have a special person or two at work we bond with and talk to more about our secrets, but NOT everyone on the floor needs to know the down and dirty details of the relationship. I get so tired of answering phone from irate spouses and significant others, I get tired of looking over the desk into the glaring eyes of that person wanting to know where is she/he.

Not at work, so do not bother me. I get tired of people in the parking lot waiting for staff members to continue a fight. My coworkers have gotten my message loud and clear, if their spouse/significant other calls I will take the message as long as they and the message is respectful. Do not expect me to lie and say you are working if you are not. And never have your spouse/significant other approach me on my way into the building in a less than respectful manner. I will call security and the cops and file the charges no one else seems to have the sense to file. I am not interested in gossip and hysterics. I am paid to do a job, I go to the movies to see drama.

Oh my god! That is crazy!! Co workers asking you to lie and say they're at work when they're not? lol jeeeze. My coworkers are really cool. I am just dealing with an obnoxious boss right now. LOL which is worse?

OMG, people wait for staff members out in the parking lot? That is scary.

How about coworkers who send you chain letters in your office email? Or message with a religious theme (usually Christian; I am Jewish)? I really don't care to discuss my beliefs or faith with my coworkers, so why send me that type of stuff? I don't get it.

I have plenty of stories, but I don't want to give myself away because I know other co workers read this board.

my coworker is not what i would call obnoxious just irritatingly old school. for example, when she hep locks a pts iv she will leave about two feet of tubing and then wrap it around the pts wrist and forearm. she is simply to lazy to put the little cap or j-loop on. her method is dirty and uncomfortable for the pt.

Outright, vocal anti-Semitism in the break room is my current favorite part of my job.

Actually the same thing happened at my work, & the warden put a stop to any email with a "religious base" was forbidden so not to offend any one of any religion! Best idea ever! :yeah:

2 things that don't belong at work, politics & religion! Bad ideas!!

Hell our warden went so far as to make a policy that we can not participate actively in any campaign or wear or support openly any campaign even on our cars, he doesnt want anything sparking a "shift" in the generally calm work environment i.e. political issues that cause alot of hardfeelings i.e. abortion ..capital punishment..etc . (since we do work in a prison full of criminals)... :argue: he is trying to cut down on "hot topics of debate"

Obnoxious co-workers are the WORST!! right now i have an RN we call her Snooty, she has been working for us for 1 1/2 mths, but proceeds to argue w/ myself of 6 yrs in prison & my co-worker who has 11 yrs in prison......:argue:... about policy & procedure! hahahaa some of them just don't learn to shut the heck up & do their job!!!

Obnoxious people are everywhere but you have to be the one that can either "hey, knock that off, no time / room here for that"...... or two...... no Mr. Jones, your wife infact didnt work today, i'm sorry you got misinformation!! We actually had a co-worker do the same thing, call into work & then want us to tell her husband she was there! HAHAHA no, he called we said nope she is off sick today............ No lies! sorry guys! :p

The wild wild world for nursing! ha good to see its not just my work that is all sorta messed up w/ this stuff from time to time!!!
