ER sounds like a good idea unless you want to sit in a bucket of ice, but that numb only lasts a few moments and it doesn't feel very good getting to the desired numbness for a number of assorted reasons. :stone

If You Fell And Bruised Your Butt Really Really Really Really Bad.. What Can You Use To Get Rid Of The Pain And Numb Your But!! I Really Really Really Need To Know This Asap..because I Am In Alot Of Pain!! Thankyou For Your Input!!

I HAVE BEEN ON THE SAME SITUATION BEFORE BUT......WHEN I FELL ON MY BEHIND, THE PAIN WAS FROM WITHIN AND SERIOUS. I HESSITATED AT FIRST TO GO TO THE DR. BECAUSE THOUGHT IT WASN'T NECESSARY BUT AS THE PAIN INTENSIFIED I GOT THERE QUICK :chuckle !

TURNS OUT I HAD CRACKED MY TAILBONE AND HAD TO WAIT UNTIL IT HEALED ON ITS OWN. I WAS MISERABLE FOR THE NEXT 4 MONTHS. I THEN DEVELOPED ARTHRITIS AND ESPECIALLY IN THE SNOWY WINTER I CAN FEEL THE PAIN ONCE AGAIN.

MY POINT.....GO GET IT CHECKED OUT, GET YOU SOME MEDS IF NEEDED AND HOPE IT IS JUST A SORE AND NOT AN INJURED TAILBONE.

LOL...I figured you were joking but I just didn't quite understand where the water played in all of this. Now that you've explained it though it is pretty funny.

I broke my tailbone while sledding with my kids last November. I'm just now to the point where I can sit down without being cautious about it. That's just SO not fun!

I used to sit with pillows under my thighs so that my sore spot hung off the back, and wasn't having pressure put on it. Kind of like a makeshift donut.

you can become an anesthesiologist, go sit in the office all day, i bet your butt would be numb then. :chuckle :chuckle

Thankyou You All For Responding!! But Let Me Explain To You Further. My Butt Is Really Swollen And Bruised! It Feels Like It Has Two Tennis Balls In One Cheek (rightside) And One Tennis Ball In The Other (leftside). The Pain Is Almost Unbareable And I Cannot Afford To Go To The Emergency Room Because I Don't Have Any Insurance At This Time. I Know That This May Sound Funny And All But I Am In So Much Pain Right Now. I Could Not Even Go To Class Today To Take My Midterm Because I Cannot Sit Down. I Also Cannot Sleep On My Butt I Have To Lay Or Sleep On My Side! :( So Please Tell Me About Any Medications I Can Use To Numb The Cheeks Or Just Get Rid Of The Pain At Least A Little. I Tried The Ice But It Does Not Last As Long. My Right Cheek Is So Huge It Looks Like It Is About To Burst. I Can See My Vains, Please Dont Laugh I Know It May Sound Hilarious But I Am Dead Serious! Go to the ER. You know there are many people who do not have insurance and they still get treatment. Just pay the bill as you can. They'll work with you.

Am afraid time is all you have. However,, depending on your age and size you may want to see the doc for help preventing a clot from forming.

I had my feet pulled out from under me in jr high. Had a horrible time standing or sitting. Of course they thought it was my tailbone so,, back then we didnt run to the doc for every little ache and pain. AS a adult i had problems with a blown disc in my back, but during the ct scan they found i had actually had a verticle fracture of a vertebra and it had healed with scar tissue and was actually larger in diameter than the others above and below it now. That and spina bifida occulta. Have to watch my p's and q's now or i get in a world of hurt. If it shifts and slides forward from not paying attention to what and how i do something and ill be in bed for a few weeks.
