NSU EntryBSN Program Fall 2010

well congrats on hearing from the other program :)...NSU is my top pick...I applied to one other program but I'm waiting back to hear from both..I'm trying to stay positive but its hard to stay patient when they are taking so freaking long..

i just applied into the program at nova. i applied at edison state and didnt get in. any other nursing programs that i should apply to? i moved here from nj about a year ago and kind of banked on getting into edisons program and i didnt. so any tips on good nursing schools would be great! my gpa is only a 3.0, im taking summer classes at edison to bring it up....

Hey everyone! Just like you (jerziana and lindalove) and the other thousands that have applied I have also been checking the posts for any updates. Jerziana if you have been accpected into another nursing school congrates! I have also applied to other schools but like lindalove I am still pending to hear from every school I applied to.

I decided to officially wait till June before freaking out. lol

Hey Mvaz, i think we all want to wait before we start freaking out but i think its getting to all of us already lol. Its hard not to freak out when NSU has made so many mistakes and have been so behind. Hopefully Denver contacts me next week. I know that its finals week so people are going into overdrive and sending their transcripts in ASAP. I already ended my semester for Micro yesterday....so i am waiting for it to be transmitted into the system for me to send them to NSU.... mission. Yeah i got accepted into another program but not for August... atleast i have a back up if nothing else comes my way. Barry University is deferring everyone to the jan term as far as admission my friend just got accepted into Barry but will not start until Jan. So i have no idea what to think about any program. I am so confused. Who knows how many people NSU is considering at this point with those who are pending classes.

Did anyone have to send their high school trascripts because when I logged in to my VIP Page it shows that they are missing transcripts from my high school??????

yeah i had to send mine in too... did you talk to your high school to make sure they were sent?

I actually ordered my high school transcripts but was told by my advisor that I was not going to need them...

i applied into edison and didnt get accepted, so im was rushing to get all my transcripts together to send to nova. and bc i dont have my associates i need them from my high school, college i went to in nj and edison. its such a pain in the butt!!!

where is edison?

edison state college, they have a few campuses. i applied for the lee county and collier county campus. they only take 24 students into each program on each campus. it's really competitive. :/ i took all the pre reqs and my gpa isnt the greatest... its a 2.94...so im taking summer classes to boost it up. im thinking about going to lorenzo walker for my lpn if i dont get into nova so i can at least start nursing in some form. ive been waiting for so long to get into a program! its so frustrating!!!!

I know that this nursing thing seems harder and longer than ever... everyone here feels the same! How long have you been trying to get into a program? Have you tried looking into Barry University. They also have a very good RN program there. I am still waiting on my grades to be posted for this semester for any decision to be made. I am just really annoyed at this whole process. Many of us are going to be falling in after the May 1 deadline... I wonder if Miami Dade can place a rush on the transcripts if the professor already posted the grades? Supposedly this professor is posting ours this week. I already know what i got so i hope that makes it a difference on my decision... FRUSTRATED!!! I just wish that they can us a chance to show them that we want this and that we are here to learn and be the best...... but lets see what happens... good luck! Hang in there and think positive...everything happens for a reason.

so the deadline is approaching...this saturday..so hopefully May will be the month when we find out the rest of the decisions. Obviously we know that some ppl have gotten their acceptance letters (like one person from our forum lol) and I'm not sure if rejection letters have gone out or not..I'm not giving up hope..I applied and in February...but they didn't cash the check until like the end of February so maybe their still debating my status?? :/...who knows...
