Today I am sending my application to Nova Southeastern for the Fall 2009. Excited and hopeful. Give me a shout out if you are sending your application as well.:yeah:

I wouldn't worry either...especially if you are concerned about them receiving payment by the due date you were given. The take the date the check arrived not the day the check went through. So,for example, you sent the check on the 8th, they received it on the 11th and the check didn't clear till the 20th, they take the date of the 11th.

I brought it there.. Im just worried about getting forgotten about. What if it got lost? Im a little panic-y lol Im just so excited to start. I think ill call tomorrow though to make sure.

It's says on the nova nursing website that a transfer student must have atleast a 2.75 gpa to get into the BSN program. What does somebody really need to get from a florida community college to get into the nova bsn program?

I'm not sure what the GPA would have to be in order to be considered "competitive" but I think your best shot would be to call and speak with one of their advisors. I have a combined GPA of 3.4 from the courses I took at a community college and a university.

Has anyone heard from Baptist yet? I called Nova today and spoke to someone who told me he sent out my package on Friday and that they usually get back to you between 1-2 weeks :uhoh3: but nothing yet.

I havent heard anything yet either...

I'm waiting too! Has anyone applied for financial aid / loans just in case? I did, they said that if we get Baptist all the financial aid / loan money will go back.

I also applied for financial aid. But what do you mean that if you get accepted that they will take the loan/aid back? I'm still going to need assistance with books, insurance and my living expenses. Would that mean I'd have to take out private loans instead?

Well I guess in your case you will need financial aid / loans for books, insurance, living, ect... in my case I will getting the loan for tuition only, that is why the money goes back if you don't use it...I mean in the case of getting Baptist's scholarship.:D

Ok, I just spoke with a financial aid counselor by the name of Fred who told me that there would be other funds available for aid even if we receive the scholarship. He said we should be receiving our award letters about 6 weeks before school starts so maybe like mid-July.

Did anybody fill out the "NSU state aid application" yet? Because the website says that I need to but when I click the link it doesnt exist. When should we actually apply for loans? (To be sure we have the funds in time?) After we get our award letter?
