Rockland Community College Summer 09
Wo admittance into the RCC nursing program isn't based on academic achievement so much, as long as you meet the requirements. After that it's just a waiting game to get in? Admittance into the program isn't given necessarily to the highest GPA/test scores, as long as you meet the bare requirements and can wait 3 semesters? Also, is the 3 semester waiting list including the summer semester?

Broward College approved to offer BSN's
Wow, so you people didn't have a good time at broward college then? Maybe I shouldnt go then if it's that bad. Oh wait a second, I want to escape living in poverty, nevermind. Hopefully an ASN and or eventually a BSN will provide me with more than a paycheck that get's me $2k a month.

Nova Southeastern
It's says on the nova nursing website that a transfer student must have atleast a 2.75 gpa to get into the BSN program. What does somebody really need to get from a florida community college to get into the nova bsn program?

broward community college
Can students at Broward College retake classes and boost up their GPA if they didn't do well the first time they took the class? Students can do that?

Do you think this is a good idea? ...
I went to city college in So California for one year. Now I live in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. For right now I'm just going for an ASN so I can become an RN. Is anatomy and physiology easy? Is it just memorizing stuff, the right bone is connected to the...left bone

They do have a program that is similar to what you are talking about, I might do something like that. But if I sit in the class for a "practice" semester and then take the class for real the following semester with the same professor then it will be alot easier because I will already have the exams and quizes. I'm 22 years old right now, and I tried college for a year after high school and did so-so because my living arrangements were not very good, family problems etc. I studied the whole summer before I took chem 101 with a Schaums Outline book. I studied so hard on my own before the class and then during the course I did the same and all I got was a lowsy 77%, C+. I just have such bad memories of working so damb hard and not getting any results.

Well all that I need are four classes and two labs, and I just want to do really well in those four pre req classes and labs. I don't care how long it takes, I just gotta get in! I don't want to be a redneck construction worker the rest of my life

Hey all, I'm going to go to one of the community colleges here in southeastern florida starting in a month. My plan is to take english 1101 and chem1032, but after a few days in chem 1032 i'm going to drop the class but still attend. I will kind of have a "practice" class for one semester while I take my english class. So by the second time I take chem1032, for the fall semester it will be alot easier. What do you all think? I just want to get the highest gpa for my pre reqs of course. thanks, J

Keiser University RN Program
did you end up going to a community college? which one, broward? that's where i'm going to go.

Keiser University RN Program
Ok, and the keiser ASN program, is there a gpa requirement? Is it that type of institution, or is everybody accepted if you can afford that much damb money? ... I just checked out the requirements for the Keiser ASN Nursing program and you need a 3.0 gpa in the pre reqs to get into the nursing program. I called Broward College and said that the lowest GPA that they accepted last semester was a 3.1 in the pre reqs. Why the hell would anybody go to Keiser? You would have to be an idiot :)

Keiser University RN Program
Let me get this straight. Keiser is approved by the Florida Nursing board right? After I get my AS in Nursing from Keiser I am eligible to take the Florida state nursing exam and be an RN. I know that Keiser might not be accredited and I won't be able to transfer my degree to another university, but I couldn't care less. All that I want to be is an RN right now, transferring to another university is not of my interest. Am I right about the Keiser nursing program? I'm interested in going to the fort lauderdale campus if that matters. thanks, josh
