Good!! I filled out the FAFSA application, and NOVA sent me a letter with some info (several forms) that I need to fill out and turn in in order to continue with the process. I will be taking them to school next week along with copies of my 2008 taxes ect... after I submit all missing docs / forms they will mail me my award letter. That's what I was told by financial aid.

Mudflap: If you type "NSU state aid application" in the search box in the NOVA's website you will find it. You need to print it and fill it out by hand if the web-site is not allowing you to do it. You need to submit all those missing docs in order for them to issue you an award letter. It gave me the same error when I tried to do it online, so I had to do it like that.

Update - I received a letter today from the Scholars Program at Baptist stating that they receive my application and that my application is complete. It also mentioned that a committee is going to review the application and then they will notify me of the next step which I assume is the interview. Any other perspective scholars receive anything yet?

I received the same letter from Baptist. I think we are in the same page at this moment. Hopefully we can get an interview for this or next week, not for 4th of July week. I think I'm going to be out of town.

ok so im pretty sure im not the only one in this position..

i dont understand why nova hasnt sent me my financial aid information. i paid my $1000 already and i kinda find it annoying that i paid that before even knowing anything about loans. i need to fund my whole tuition with loans and i would obviously like goverment loans but ive called nova several times about when they would send the package with the loan info and they said they havent packaged it for nursing yet. i need to know if i need to get private loans! i dont even want to take private loans out but i need to go to nursing school NOW!

anybody else in that position?

I think most of us are in the same predicament about how we are going to finance Nova....I've found it kind of odd also that aside from the acceptance letter, I havent received any of piece of mail from them. But if you had read one of my earlier postings, I spoke to one of the financial representatives who stated that the financial aid stuff won't be sent out till mid to end of july.

i read that and i find it ridiculous. a few people probably declined because the next step seems to be up in the air!

I wonder how the Baptist Interview is going to be like.

I talked to somebody in Fin Aid in nursing last week and he said that I would probably need to just take out loans for the entire amount and my grant money ect. would be refunded to me. He said it takes like a month for some loans to go through after they are certified by Nova.
