nclex shut off at 85

Hi everyone I took my boards yesterday and I am positive I failed. computer shut off at 85. If I was doing bad wouldnt it have given me more questions to pull my score up? Im going crazy! cant sleep, cant eat. other nurses are telling me shutting off at 85 is agood sign. But I truly think I blew it. is the amount of questions you have really an indicator of passing or failing? I just dont understand.

Here's a test.. search for "85" on this website and you will notice a trend....99% of the people that got 85...passed. As did I, with 85.

12 years ago my pc shut off after 75 questions. I thought for sure I was going to go into cardiac arrest or some unknown psychiatric disorder that I forgot to study.... Back then it was a waiting game, I believe 30 days of pure agony!! I passed... Need not worry you are safe!! Congrats to you!

I agree it would be very unusual if you didn't pass with flying colors! Congrats.

I'm sure you nailed it...Good Luck!!!

I'm positive you nailed it with flying colors! Mine too shut off at question 85 and I passed.

I felt the same after I took my boards; left feeling like a complete idiot and guess what? I passed with 85 questions.

mine shut off at 85 and I passed! The questions get more and more difficult the more you anwser correctly, so it feels like you aren't doing well. That's why....

Mine shut off at 85 and I thought I had failed, too. But I passed!

I'm in the same boat as everyone else.... 85 questions and the first one out of the room... All the other test takers were RN's who only need to answer 75 questions... I was screaming in my head no... give me more I can pass. You can bet I was on the website 48 hours after the start of my exam to find out I passed.... Best wishes in your career.

good luck i'm sure you'll be ok
