Hi everyone. I am taking my boards on 12/22. Feeling quite nervous. Just wanted to ask everyone to keep me in your prayers and I also wanted to get some advice on what you did personally to pass this beast. :typing :wink2:

Good luck. Don't cram the day before your test. Personally, I would take a quick read through The Random Facts Thread at the top of the forum. Lots of great facts, etc to help kinda jog the memory a bit.

Just think positive now, try to relax and don't think of it as a beast, just an exam. All you can do now is review fact, lab values, mneumonics and things like that to keep you on it. Sleep well this days rest is important so you are fresh the day of the exam, eat well too.

Relax. Breathe. You've crammed all you can into your brain and now trust it to recall it.

I took my NCLEX on 12/18 and I found out this morning that I passed... I really didn't do any hard studying before the test. I looked at a couple of index cards did about 50 nclex questions from saunders. There is no point in doing too much craming because you probably won't see much of the material you studied on the test. What helped me was my test taking skills. Take your time, read through each question, remember your ABC's-airway-breathing-circulation when answer questions, and just do process of elimination. I didn't have too many knowledge based questions. So no matter how I would have studied it wouldn't have prepared me.
Good Luck!! I'm sure you will do great!! :wink2:

2 more days, your exam is almost here. I didn't do any studying what so ever those last two days before my exam. Although I did a bit of reading on some medications that I thot would be tested, luckily those were the ones that came up on my test. lol I guess I got lucky. But yeah just relax and do some good things for yourself. Any cramming at this point is useless so just relax. Goodluck

Good luck. I will say a prayer for you. You know the information. You made it thru nursing school and you need to believe in your heart that you can do this. God Bless you.

I will surely include you in my prayers. I will be taking mine on the 29th. Breathe and relax especially on your exam day. Don't let nervousness affect you or it will affect your answering and concentration too. God bless. Keep us up dated with your result.
My exam consisted of about 6 SATA, many meds, 3 math, many prioritizing, and delegation.
