NCLEX question, your experience PLEASE?

Many do not get maths questions as it is I think classed as a lower level question as you should be OK with them from nursing school

Normal to feel as if you failed after taking the exam. Best thing to do is relax and catch up on stuff whilst you wait for your results.

I asked a nurse at work about this and she said her test stopped at 76 questions and she felt she passed because her last question was easy and she knew she got that one right. So try to not worry. :wshgrt:

I had 75 questions, and I did not have any math question. After the test I thought I failed as many others did. Yet I passed. Try not to think about it til you know the result. Good luck.

Some of my friends did not get any math questions on their NCLEX-RN exams, I think it just depends on the computer view your progress as it goes along during the test.

No math seems to be a good thing. I too also stopped at 75, I had 9 SATA's, no math, tons of prio and delegation and meds that I have never seen before and still managed to pass. Good luck to both of you.

No math for me, 75 questions, lots of drugs, infection control, priority lots of SATA...Found out yesterday I'm a RN!!!!!!

Thanks to all! My biggest fear was the lack of math but its reassuring to hear that others had no math and still passed. My hope is that I got most of the hard ones right and so the computer didn't see the need to give me basic questions. I was SO surprised that I didn't get a single Dig question or Lasix, K, or heparin question, all the things I was advised to study!! I guess we will see. Thanks to all for their answers!

My husband and I went to nursing school together and we just took the NCLEX today. Both of us got 75 questions and not a single math question! That terrifies me. Aren't they going to give a nurse math questions to make sure they're competant??! We studied for days but we didn't get questions that were on what we studied. We both feel like we failed it.
Alot of people I know felt the same way as me with 75 questions and they passed, but a girl at the test center said most of her friends with 75 questions failed theirs. AGHHH.
What is your experience with NCLEX? Has anything similar happened to you???

i didnt get any math questions too. and i think almost everyone would have felt the same as yours after the exam, but have faith! i thought i failed the exam too but i passed!

Same here I did not get any math questions but tons of SATA, priority and infection control. Passed NCLEX-RN with 75 questions.

Just 2 questions, what is SATA mean and what has been the best way for you to prepare and study for taking the NCLEX? Do you find Study Guides better or some Preparation Class or should the notes you collect over your nursing program prepare you enough? Thanks!

SATA is Select All That Apply

I would suggest practising questions, making sure you understand what is being asked and read the rationales even if you get the question right
