Hey all - I'm not a strong math student. I scored 85% on the math section of the Teas, B- in applied college math, and an A in foundations of Chem. Do you think I'm capable of med Math? Is it mostly directional analysis (unit conversion) we did A LOT of this is chem.

With those grades, more than capable. It's really not so bad once you get your head around proportions and dimensional analysis.

I found medication math wayyyyyyyyyyy easier than algebra. Remember your formulas and you Gucci.

Math is my worst subject. For context, I dropped out of calc in high school as my other option was failing, and I had to retake college algebra twice, passing with a B. The only math I’m good at is DA, and like you, I did it well in chem. I’ve passed all my med calc quizzes so far on the first try(we need 100 to pass). If you can memorize conversions and do DA, you’re golden.

If you are good at dimensional analysis then you will be fine. You can use that for pretty much any problem you’ll face.

I hate math and I am not strong in it either. But there are just a few key formulas to remember for drug calculations. And for me, when I have a doubt, I have a lovely drug calculation app on my phone. I have used it a few times at work.

Med math is really, really basic. You'll be fine.
