My world got turned upside down on Friday. A white supremacist terrorist went on a rampage at 2 city mosques and killed 50 people, injuring another 50
More so close because the police knocked him off the road directly opposite my driveway
Couldnt get back into the house on Friday because the shooters car was wired to go boom

I am so very sorry you went through this. I have utilized critical care stress debriefing as a way to work through some traumatic events. Here is an article about it.
Does your hospital offer some counseling? In the US, we have the Employee Assistance Program where the employer will pay for counseling and you remain anonymous as far as your employer is concerned.
Here is a National Public Radio transcript of an interview with a person who crossed the finish line at the Boston Marathon shortly after the explosion.
While there is much hate in our world today, there is much love too and I offer my sincere sympathy to you and your country as you process this most tragic event.

Finally! Another person from NZ.
youre not alone. No one ever thought this type of thing would happen here. We thought we were safe from the madness of the world.
I still can’t believe that one person could plan this, even post his plans on social media, and not be known to police. that makes me really angry. The fact he managed to shoot up two place before being caught is horrific. Can’t imagine what else he had planned or if those bombs went off.
I cant imagine what it must be like for people in chch. Keep talking about it. There’s a free number you can call or text, set up with trained counsellors, to help you through it.
We are all finding this so difficult. The whole country is grieving.

Wow - that is so much happening for you. So much. I am glad for the resources provided above by TraumaRUs.
It's Mr. Rogers' birthday today. I grew up with Mr. Rogers on television. We need a little of his love, kindness, and compassion right now. You are one of those helpers he talked about, Tenebrae. Hugs to all y'all from Texas. If there is something that we can do (like a place to donate money) please let us know.

Wow, that did hit close to home for you!
Glad that at least your leaders are immediately moving to make some changes as a result of this tragedy. Take care.
