I am almost at the end of the rope. I have a family member that is very upset and acting a fool because her resident's panties and skirts are missing. She pays $8 - $12 a pair for the panties that come from a specialty shop. We have tried a daily inventory and this has not worked. The family member does all the laundry. I need help please.

Thats hillarious! I would tell her that I would like to give the underwear back, but unfortunately, at present time I am wearing them. That probably would not go over so well though.

Somewhere is a group of little old men who crawl in the windows as they whisper "panty raid!" in the middle of the night...
Could the resident be loaning them to a roomie or friend? Perhaps a lock on a drawer might work
line up all the staff
whoever has the least vpl is the culprit

Is there any way the facility can reimburse her for the panties? That doesn't really seem like a lot of money to shell out in order to quiet her down.

Y'know, I love how these folks expect that nothing, ever, will go missing. It's impossible to track every pair of funky undies that get tossed into the dirty linens instead of the personal hamper.
Oy.

I can't imagine that she would want the panties back after they've been missing for a while. I would just pay her the $12 and be done with it.

Pay her the $12 and send her to counseling. Why does she feel the need to spend $8-$12 on panties for an old lady? I buy mine at Victoria's Secret and never spend more than $4. KMART 6 pack of panties $6.99.
LOVE the panty raid comment!

Little old ladies have been known to hide their soiled undies in the trash and even flush them because they are embarrassed about incontinence. Could this be the problem?
look
there they are
