I've been doing tests in bunches, studying for 2 or 3 at a time. Any suggestions on how I should break up lifespan? 2 looks like the heaviest hitting, but does it make sense to try to do 1 and 3 together? 0 Likes
reebokHCFR, MSN, EMT-P, APRN, NP Apr 10, 2013 I did the exams quick, but always one at a time. I can tell you that ls2 and 3 were by far the most difficult, though I think it had more to do with the poor study material I had than the tests themselves. nonetheless, that was my experience.is your testing center far away or something? 0 Likes
sunshiine:) Apr 11, 2013 Ls1 was a breeze for me. However, I would do ls2 and ls3 by themselves. 0 Likes
Nurse Megan Specializes in Geriatric, Rehabilitation. Has 5 years experience. Apr 23, 2013 Okay...maybe you guys can help me with some insight! Lifespan Developmental Psychology is my FIRST Excelsior course. I have the study guide content and the book. I have been reading and reviewing key terms, but I am really not sure what to expect on this test and I do not live close to a testing center, so when I go and test I have to be very confident I may pass. What are your thoughts or suggestions on what to expect or how to study for the Lifespan Dev. Psych exam? 0 Likes
reebokHCFR, MSN, EMT-P, APRN, NP Apr 23, 2013 ls1-3 are nursing classes and have nothing to do with lifespan dev. you might want to start your own thread. 0 Likes

verticalsurface Apr 30, 2013 I was just very disapointed, it seemed like I knew the material. I decided to take life span 2 this Friday to get it over with, do you believe Saunders will suffice as study material? thanks! 0 Likes

LS2 is one of the more difficult exams due to the psych component. If you're failing exams, you probably need to change up your study methods, i.e., take some time and invest in a textbook or two. Just my opinion. Good luck. 0 Likes

I love Amazon -- I buy most of my textbooks for my MSN classes from there. :) 0 Likes
verticalsurface Apr 30, 2013 thank you for the advice! i have all the books from lvn school, fundamentals, med surg, mental health, etc. when taking the practice test I only missed 2 of the mental health questions and do not seem to be struggling with that at all. I got a 100 in that class in LVN school, which was just a few months ago. I will definately look through the book before friday though. how good is sg101 for this exam? 0 Likes

Apr 30, 2013 SG101 was in its infancy when I was taking the later exams, so there wasn't a guide for this one available to me. I did like their materials for my earlier exams, though! They really seem committed to staying up to date with the current exam content guides, too. I'd give them a look. :) 0 Likes

verticalsurface Apr 30, 2013 so far i have been very happy with Excelsior, i graduated lvn school in december, took my nclex and started march 6. it has been a great experience with very helpful and quick feedback from the staff with my every need. The tests are not easy, but with commitment you can finish however fast you commit to. as in my case i went through the pre reqs to now, with 4 nursing exams left, in 2 months. hope this helps! 0 Likes
