I received authorization to test!

I did speak with their monitoring program. She told me that my application would have to be reviewed first. This is scary. I don't have a problem with doing the monitoring program as long as I can be an RN.

The new state does have some kind of a monitoring program. No, I did not sign an IPN contract. They have not sent it yet.

In need of advice Please. I moved to Florida a few years ago, got a dui, finished LPN to RN program, applied for boards and received a letter stating that my application would need to be reviewed by the BON. The board approved me taking the nclexRN as long as I had an evaluation by an addictionologist and follow through with IPN if necessary. Of course I received a recommendation for IPN as does everyone. The list of treatment providers were all 6 to 7 hours away! I was told there were no providers in my area. Since all of this, I have moved back home to another state and recently applied for the nclexRN here in my home state. Does anyone have any insight on how they will proceed? P. S Im not an alcoholic and have never had any issues with alcohol.

Guess I was just hoping that something had changed, that they are changing the exam to become somewhat more reasonable...yeah right!

I was afraid of that. I think I have careplans down but not so sure about the rationales.

Medic and Nalon, did you both use Rob's suggestion for your rationales? ____is a physiological need, without ____it may interfere with his/her ability to perform adls, progress towards healing and pt's participation in treatment plan. He stated that the above rational could be used for almost every rational. What do you recommend?

What did u use for studying careplans? I didn't think Rob went into them too much. Did you just memorize his documentation samples for narrative notes? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :-D
