  1. I ended up passing with a B! used saunders nclex review, an older edditon that I got for 12 dollars on amazon, and my lpn med surg book. found that studygroup 101 was way too broad for me for this one.
  2. i will give sg101 a look for this exam, thus far they have been very reliable with the exception of LS1 for me. thank you!
  3. so far i have been very happy with excelsior, i graduated lvn school in december, took my nclex and started march 6. it has been a great experience with very helpful and quick feedback from the staff with my every need. The tests are not easy, but with commitment you can finish however fast you commit to. as in my case i went through the pre reqs to now, with 4 nursing exams left, in 2 months. hope this helps!
  4. thank you for the advice! i have all the books from lvn school, fundamentals, med surg, mental health, etc. when taking the practice test I only missed 2 of the mental health questions and do not seem to be struggling with that at all. I got a 100 in that class in LVN school, which was just a few months ago. I will definately look through the book before friday though. how good is sg101 for this exam?
  5. I was just very disapointed, it seemed like I knew the material. I decided to take life span 2 this Friday to get it over with, do you believe Saunders will suffice as study material? thanks!
  6. im pregnant and so havent been working, just focusing on this. i have two four year olds, so I study at night...usually for two hours. so did not pass life span today seemed like I knew the material but I guess not. Im going to take chronicity friday then the other two life spans. any tips?
  7. i have ls1 on monday, I am trying to stick to my current schedule of 1 to 2 tests per week. i recently took my nclexpn in february, will the questions be similar to this exam? i only have life span series left, and am using sg101 and saunders. i have thus far breezed through the program in 2 months, but am nervous about this series. any advice please!!!!
  8. I have been completing one test per week mainly, and then recently two tests per week with using SG101 and Cliffsnotes. Does this system work for the Health Safety exam, chronity, and LS series, which is all I have left. I started March 1, with having prereqs and am looking to complete this by early may! please help!
  9. just so you know, i just graduated from there in december. the pass rate is not 100 percent. in fact, only 8 people of the 30 people i started with passed at all. i passed my nclex, but that was because i taught myself out of the books. i had a terrible and very disorganized experience. i just looked for the best, which is that i got my license. good luck
  10. so far, it has worked for every person i know, pass or fail.
  11. be ready to do everything for yourself and try not to expect too much. it will be hard work as anything should be in a nursing program, but the difference is....the school will do nothing to help you, or even meet minimal expectations. good luck! i did pass my nclex, after teaching myself from the books.
  12. i graduated from fortis in december. i just passed my nclex! however, i would say it had very little to do with anything they did. the school was VERY DISORGANIZED from the beginning, not having enough teachers...the same one man and the DON taught every class the first term. which made for several late starts, and SEVERAL hours spent doing nothing but sitting in an empty classroom. and it never got any better, i spent my entire pediatric clinicals doing nothing but sitting in a room in the school, and they still made it manditory to be there 8 hours a day. having said that, i used the school as a stepping to stone to obtain my license and move forward. i had to do all of the learning on my own because all the teachers did was either read straight from a power point all day, or have us read to them out of the text book. there were several days that students showed up to clinicals only to find no instructor, and i had to drive two hours every day to the clinical site, only to be told to go back to the school. if you are going to this school, you have to learn how to adapt and not expect ANYTHING from the school itself except excuses. only 8 people in my whole class that started with 30 passed the program. I am glad that i did it because i did achieve my goal. but i would never ever suggest this school to anyone.
