how do you keep a nursing cap on?

I don't want this to turn into a thread about whether or not nursing caps should be worn (lord knows there's about 200 threads like that, on this board, already!), but I do have a question:

For those of y'all who have worn caps, or who still do... how do you keep them on? Is there some kind of bobby-pinning trick?

Staple it to your head using one of those high powered staple guns as seen on Trading Spaces. :D

Super glue?? No idea...haven't worn one since nsg school...and had a hard time keeping it on then. Maybe they should have a chin strap...like a birthday hat!LOL

You don't Thank God!

I'd been thinking maybe a hot glue gun?

I did a Yahoo! search on this and found instructions that involved taking a lock of hair, coiling it, spraying it with hairspray, putting a little square of tissue paper over it, and bobbypinning the coil to your head, and them somehow pinning the cap to the coil?!?!

I'm not sure I'd be capable of following those instructions!

ROFL!!!!!

Look in the hair products section of Walmart etc......get the smallest "comb" you can about..... 1 inch or smaller........you know the kind that hold your hair in place...not the one that comes in a comb and brush set......

Get a needle and thread and stitch the comb to the front inside top of the cap.....so it's pointing toward the back of your head.

Slide the comb/cap combo back to where you want it (WHY you would want it I do not know) and then secure the two edges behnd your ears with bobby pins (white if you can find them).

God luck, and if you are careful it will not fall in the first bedpan you handle.

Well, I wore my cap at my "Capping ceremony" and for the first three months at work. I used to leave it in my locker before going home. I don't wear it anymore, becauce I'm wearing now printed shirst and scrubs. Here they make you wear it if you are new at the hospital and only for the first 90 days.

Having shaved my head for religious reasons , I now use Aileen's Tacky Glue. Effective enuf for government work.

I'm a student so I have to wear one right now. (Sigh) The best way I've found is if your hair is long enough just pull it back real tight and bobby pin both sides it should stay on if hair is tight enough...albeit bringing on a major headache. ; )
