Just curious....

Nursing Students General Students

Hey everyone! I was just curious.......I noticed the post about caps. Does anyone actually wear caps in clinicals? My class will wear one when we graduate and have the lamplighting ceremony but we don't wear one in clinicals. Actually, my school is pretty lax about the uniforms and stuff. I know of schools where female students are required to wear the two-inches-below-the-knee skirts and caps. We have a choice between about 15 different uniforms. Anyway, just curious about everyone else's schools! Have a great day!

our dresses are below the knee and that's okay with me. we were just told to purchase our caps. i will let you know if we will be wearing them during clinicals or just the pinning and other functions.

We will have on caps at our Nursing pinning ceremony towards graduation but other than that we have never worn them. My school the first semester we wear white uniforms. We can wear white scrubs or white dresses or skirts that are pass the knee. After that we can pretty much wear any color scrubs we want to wear and white shoes/socks or hose

we have basically one uniform (very boring) its the basic scrub set in teal..teal of all colours :| i dislike teal strongly...we can wear any style we like as far as i know...no cap though...i think that we only have caps for graduation...but no info on that so far..its only 2nd year... :)

hello, fellow nursing students!!! i'm loving my summer!!

we have to wear white uniforms of any type with a green tunic (apron). they prefer us not to wear "scrubs" though. we don't have to wear our caps for clinicals but like the others, we wear them for our pinning ceremony.

there is one nurse that works in our local hospital CCU that wears a white uniform and her cap. when asked why she wears it if she doesn't have to....she replys with "i worked hard to be able to wear this." ok, whatever floats your boat!!! each dept has 2 specific uniform colors they have to wear. she looks like a little light bulb walking around in all white.

I was the only one in my entire class who bought a cap! I want to wear it, but I'm one of those who don't like to stand out in a crowd, so I probably won't.

No caps here, not even for pinning.

We wear either navy blue or white scrubs with our school patch on the left shoulder.:D

white is the color. caps for pinning only.

marie :)

In clinicals we had to wear our caps and some ugly blue striped uniforms then turn around after graduation and buy our white ones. Hated the caps-almost pulled out an IV line with one . Does look very professional though.

We have a choice between about 15 different uniforms.
