High. I almost always like my job.

Average. There are days when I love it, days when I hate it, and days when I'm neutral.

Low. One or more aspects of my job make me very unhappy.

Very low. Can you say ''hellhole''?

All things considered... pay, ratios, acuity, opportunity to use your skills, co-workers, management, etc... what you say your overall satisfaction with your job is?

I voted for "average", because some days are fulfilling and other days are absolutely crappy.

I said ''average'', too, although it is bordering on low lately. More crappy days than happy days.

I voted for average, because i love the job that i do, however, some of the people make the job a little harder than it has to be for others, simply because some are only there for a paycheck and that's it (their words, not mine). Plus some people act like the plpace is a place to socialize, i mean, i've never seen so many people that get paid to stand around and breathe, while others bust their ***es, AS usual.:stone

Lately, the only way i'm getting through it w/o popping a vein from BP is reminding myself that i'll be wasting away for 10 days at Margaritaville in Key West 23 days from now. Maybe that's part of the problem. I know i need a break, that's probably why the lazy people are getting to me more than usual.

I really love my job, the pay is good, I only have to drive 15mins to work, work load is pretty much a breeze. We laugh a lot and generally have a good time. I leave work and don't have to think about it till I come in next time. Compared to the job I had before, this is paradise.

There are a few things I'd certainly improve if I had the power and $$, but overall I'm quite satisfied.

I'm fortunate enough---at last!!---to be in the "Very High" satisfaction category. My job provides me with the opportunity to be as creative and autonomous as I want to be; while I wish it paid a little better and I had more of a budget to work with, these are small considerations given the freedom I have to make the job what I want it to be. I've had jobs where I made lots of $$ and was miserable; I'd do this one for half my current wage (but don't let my boss know that!;) ).

At present "high"............although last September I was seriously considering leaving, possibly without notice. But the admin finally saw what was going on around him ( after half the staff either went to him or mailed anon. letters) and canned the DON.

I'd never worked with such a pathologically toxic boss......... our new DON is one of the best I've ever worked with.

It's amazing how much difference one person can make.

That's ironic, because last September, I would've ranked my satisfaction ''high'' and possibly ''very high''. Now, it's average, bordering on low.

I'm surprised... in reading posts here, I thought that the bulk of the responses would have been ''average'' rather than high... Maybe it is in the threads I read, or maybe people tend to post more about the bad days than the good ones. Not that this is scientific or anything, I am just surprised at the higher than expected # of people who are still happy with their jobs.

I voted Very High. I love my job... extra pay would always be nice but it's competitive so I can't complain. We have a good atmosphere and lots of teamwork so that always helps for morale.

I voted low. I love patient care (I'm a CNA and student) but I HATE the hospital where I currently work. I'm not joking but we are required to TRIPLE chart when it comes to in's and outs. Fellow CNA who does not empty A/C or does waters on third then I catch the heat on first shift because her crap isn't done! All the nurses and aides have complained, but nothing ever happens. The hospital is more concerned with $$$ than anything else.

I'm biding my time, putting in applications everywhere.

This poll could have an overall amt of disproportionate views of the nsg community overall, because it is polling individuals who are reading about nsg in their spare time. These are for the most part people who love nsg. Nonetheless it is wonderful to see that there are that many people who love nsg out there.
