awesome- I remember starting and looking at my checklist of classes, but it flies right by and you are literally walking across stage in a few months unable to believe all you have just done- it is amazing and truly a rewarding experience! I loved it, and every semester is something totally different from what you are used to. Even if you hate one, look forward to the next because I can guarantee you love at least one out of every three!

Good luck and what worked for me, which i didn't find out until my VERY LAST CLASS, is to write down everything the teacher says and pay more atention to that than in the text, they will make a large majority of their based on what they talk about, especially if they are organized and are looking at a paper. I think some of the harder teachers do this to punish those who skip class, they cant find the answers in a book, only by being present and paying attention, so pay attention, write down what the teacher says, which should follow the topics in the syllabus, if she skips a topic, ask her a question that is on the syllabus, make sure you have covered the info on the syllabus before preparing for a test. Dont let her skip over anything, some people sigh and make comments about the person always raising their hand and asking questions, but I found a few empty seats on graduation night that were initially reserved for those same people who sadly didn't make it! So dont be intimidated. Good luck and enjoy your career as a nurse!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! I got accepted into my 1st choice school for the LPN program for September!!!

Congrats Ogopogo! You know I saw your name and wondered if you were from the Okanagan because I am not sure how many American's know who Ogopogo is. Then I saw your location and you are in BC. That's cool! I grew up in BC and loved the Okanagan! mmmmm peaches and apricots and cherries. I lived in the lower mainland though. I kinda miss it, but not the rain! I live in Nevada now and it's 90 degrees out today. So what school did you get into?

I got into Okanagan College!!! I love Kelowna! It's truely the best place in the world to live! :)

ETA: I grew up in Vancouver, went to Killarney secondary in the early 90's. Moved to Kelowna in 2000 and will never go back to Vancouver!!
