I FAILED, once again.

Posted

i failed. :o

it was my second try. i'm very frustrated. i don't want to take it again. i'm such a looser. i think i will never pass it again, even if i try again.:o:o:o

i also would like to know about good on-line sourses, especially once that have lots of priority and delegation Q.

thanks

Please hang in there, you are not a looser, you're a winner. You completed the nursing program in your school, and this test does not define who you are. If you are like me, I freak out when it's time to take a test. You are in my prayers and I know you can do it.

you are not a looser.. don't ever think that about yourself.. the nclex is a horrible test.i have no idea how they judge your abilty to be a nurse with 75 to 265 questions. please don't give up.. you worked so hard to get through nursing school and you will pass boards. was it the RN or LPN nclex ? you are in my prayers . you can do this.. if i can .. you can.. let me know how you are doing .

First as the above posters said you are not a failure/looser at all. I know this is not what you planned but you will pass the nclex! As silverdragon had mentioned Suzanne has a great plan! I used her plan along with Kaplan. You will be in my prayers!

thank you all for your support. i really appreciate it.

well, i did first part of the suzanne's plan. i practiced q at the end of each chapter of the saunders book. i also read every chapter to refresh my memory. unfortunately i didn't have enough time to find out and do the second part of the suzanne's plan. do you think i should pm her? do i have to complete the first part of her plan again before writing her? right now i also didn't set an appontment date yet just because i want to complete her plan.

I'm so sorry to hear this...and you are not a loser.

In addition to Suzanne's plan, have you tried the NCSBN Learning Extension? These people write the questions for the NCLEX exam and it definitely helped me along with others in my class.

I'm so sorry. I can relate, you must not quit. You are not a looser. I have failed twice also. With the wonderful advice and people on this website that are cheering for us we can't give up. Keep your head up your are not alone.

;)First of all. you are not a loser!!! I failed the stupid thing too and am waiting to take it again. It was a horrible test and I know lots of people who failed it. Just tell yourself that you can do it and you will. I know how frustrating it can be and I have no desire to study now. If anyone out there has any advice about the best book to study from, or something that helped you, please let us all know?!!! Hang in there and let us know when you pass it. I have faith in you!!! Besides, you got through nursing school and that was not easy either, so you can beat this stupid test too.;)

Jess,

I can only repeat what all others on this post have said. You are not alone. You are NOT a loser. Add me to your cheering squad. You have come so far. This is your last hurdle. Take a personal moment (or 2 or 3) and a deep breath and go for Suzanne's Plan.

If I hadn't made it on my first attempt, I was fully prepared to do it myself.

Hang in there baby. We are with you. :icon_hug:

it may be worth starting from the beginning again with suzanne's plan, also don't rush to get a new date, it will just add to the stress.

good luck and chin up

The bible says:

You are more than a conquerer...you have to believe that and make sure you pray....with expectant. Remember God created you in his own image.

I just want to tell you that I know of a *nurse* who failed NCLEX 5 times before she got a hold of Saunders. On her 6th try...she passed w/ Saunders. I failed my NCLEX just this July and I am using Suzanne's study plan. This time I am taking my sweet time. I wish I would have followed thru with it before but I didnot. Now that I am back to studying, I can honestly say that I have seen about 6 or 7 questions from the questions on the SAUNDERS CD that asked almost the SAME questions on my NCLEX. This is very pertinent information that Saunders has in it. I am ONLY using Saunders now. I REFUSE to look at another NCLEX book cause I KNOW if I would have taken the plan seriously...I would have passed on my 1st try. Dont give up cause I have seen too many pass due to determination and GOD's help. Many people will read your post and giving up sends negative vibes to others who have failed. You are not a loser, you only lose when you give up. Get your Saunders book and CD and take your time and go thru it. I get a bit frustrated trying to do 100 ?'s a day but I manage to get some knowledge in even if its 30-40 a day. Its hard accepting the fact that u did not pass but please dont give up .. you never know who you could be an inspiration to. Happy studying. ( also dont forget about the 2nd part to suzannes plan- 3 of my NCLEX questions I answered were related to what was on it..I swear to you). I guarantee you I am taking it seriously now. lol.

Thank, I thought Saunders looked like the best option too. I'll get right on the studying.

Thank, I thought Saunders looked like the best option too. I'll get right on the studying.

I just know thats the reason this book is "highly" recommended by Suzanne because "she knows" what it takes to pass and all is in contained in doing those questions and looking thru the book. Trust that. I just think of it this way... read each question and rationale carefully. You never know that question may contain the info needed for you to answer one of your NCLEX questions. I only wish Id have paid more attention to SAUNDERS in the beginning.. But that is OK, Im back to studying and I will reschedule my test when I am good and prepared. NO RUSHING HERE. The next time you hear from me Im bringing a success story. STUDY HARD and good. And dont be discouraged. Failure IS NOT an option here.

guys, thank you soooo much !!!

we lost a lot of people from my nursing school. i wasn't one of them. i passed. and i know i will pass this test too. i know for sure that with each try i'm getting stronger and one day i will have "rn" next to my name.

i'm so happy to have you guys as my emotional support group !!! thank you all, once again.

i wrote suzanne today. will see what her suggestions are.

right now i will just take some time off and recharge my batteries.

Oh there is no doubt you HAVE TO give yourself at least a week to accept what has happened. I thought Id never leave the house. Fortunately, I did and now Im back to studying. The reason why we keep u encouraged is because NO ONE knows what u r going thru except someone who has been thru it. So when you think of yourself not passing and staying up in the wee hours in the morning reviewing your SAUNDERS CD & BOOK, think of me too cause more than likely, Ill be up with you doing the same thing. And think of those that have DONE IT and passed. That will encourage you and motivate u more than anything. Take one day at a time and when you need support you know you can always come here to allnurses.com where someone will be listening and understanding and rooting for you. I always come here when I need support even if its just thru reading posts. Then when you get that RN behind your name, you can be an inspiration to someone else.
