As in checking turgor/fontanel under age 1/mucous membranes? Yes, I believe they sure do. I have it stuck in my self-made mnemonics to do it with my 20-minute check.

Yup, hydration status is always assigned under fluid management, which is an overriding area of care.

does every patient get hydration status checked or just those assigned enteral feeding? i wasn't sure
