For those of us here today... How's your day? Lots of kids coming in? Do you have a bunch absent?
We are at 100 absent out of 1100. I have had 7 kids in my office today. I am bored. (I am aware that I could be jinxing myself)

Last day before break, thank goodness! It's been rather slow in here today

Slower than usual here too, but there has been a lot of me going into the hall to remind our kids to be kind and courteous

It has been about normal here today. We are here tomarrow until 2pm. We do have quite a few gone, but its an even mix of the stomach bug/strep thats been going around and family time off/activities. We got our first snow last week, so every recess time I am bombarded with little kids with no boots or snowpants!

Today is our last day before the Holiday and it has been mostly business as usual around here. We have a few more absent than normal but nothing too drastic!
Naturally, i would have 2 reportable injuries in the final 15minutes before a break! One gnarly black eye and one probable sprain/tear of a knee-Happy Thanksgiving all!
T minus 3 minutes... have a great holiday, my friends!!

I still have school tomorrow and was slammed with kids yesterday. It is a half day tomorrow, but last half day we had, I still had 23 visits.

This day wore me out!! We had dental clinic and between getting kids to the clinic, regular med and diabetic visits and dealing with the vomiting I'm exhausted! So happy tomorrow is only half day! Happy Thanksgiving School Nurses!!

Half days this week for conferences. Almost finished vision re-screenings and will complete referral letters tomorrow (hopefully).
Guys, one of my students with diabetes wrote me a gratitude letter during their Thanksgiving celebration! I know maybe some of you have gotten these, but dealing with the older kiddos, these are rare and every one is cherished gift for me.
Some high school kids are doing some type of physics lessen on the stairwell right outside my door. "ready, set, GO....thump,thump,thump,thump,thump" up the stairs they go. At least 20 times already this morning. I'm ready for our 2pm dismissal!!
