How often to do you think about quiting?

Published

I think about quiting about every other day. Maybe every third day. I think about it a lot. Wouldn't that just be so much easier!!!?!?!?!! :uhoh3:

Only when I've procrastinated to the point it becomes suffering.

Just this quarter for me....but when that feeling of anxiety overcomes, it hits hard.

To anyone even remotely thinking about quitting...

You can think about it, but don't you dare do it. I don't know about your history (nor do I care), but I do know that you've worked hard enough to get to where you are today. Who ever said school, and juggling life around school, would be easy? If it was that simple, the world would be a perfect place. Quitting now would indeed be easier, but that is jut plain selfish. Push yourself a bit more because hard work does pay off sooner or later. Take care of your mind and body and take it one day at a time.

A couple years of struggling and hard work is nothing compared to a lifetime of regret.

I have to agree, however, I know not everyone is made to be a nurse. Even if you hate nursing, finish mearly for the sake of the degree. Going back for a second degree is always easier than not having one. Sometimes you can even get a job out of your field just because you have a college degree. I spent 6 years working in a field that I didn't like only to be back in school again. Thankfully, I already have a bachlor's degree and now I'm starting an ABSN program that wouldn't have been able to get into were it not for my first degree. And yes, as RyanT said, it's not worth the regret. Just my :twocents:.

just about everyday, when the work is overwhelming! but i give myself a pep talk and say you can do it!!! i also pray!!

Everytime I have finals to take I think about quiting. I know that I can't quit because I don't want to start all over again doing another major. I can't even picture myself doing something else.

Never. I worked too hard to get here and quitting would for me be a failure. Failure is not an option. I do not let myself even remotely entertain that possibility.

I see this a lot. I'm going to ask a question. No harm is meant, and it's not an arrogant question.

What's hard about it?

Now, that I've said it is it school that's just hard in general, is it clinicals, or is the subject matter more difficult than what one is accustomed to (how)?

I plan to in August. I'll be returning to the ole alma mater for a second degree....unless you tell me something far out. :clown:

I've never thought of quitting. I've been frustrated and wanted to pull my hair out, but that's the extent of it. I know all this hard work will pay off so I just do my best and remind myself how lucky I am to have this opportunity.
