Oct 15, 201312 yr Even though I know my program was highly over priced reading these threads makes me feel like I paid more than most people do. My program was $28,000 and I graduated in 2010. How much was your program and what year did you graduate?
Oct 16, 201312 yr Wow...Though I don't recall the exact figure, my LVN program back in 1990 wasn't more than $1500-2000.15, 000??? That is crazy!
Oct 16, 201312 yr I owe about 14,000, but after grants and stuff I will owe ~9,000 (2 year RPN program in Canada)
Oct 16, 201312 yr wow! that is a lot! Mine should be around $9,000 when all is said and done LPN-RN. I am factoring in all costs for books, and nursing supplies. Community college, its a great school if you can make it through! (very high NCLEX pass rate for those who survive the entire program.) I may reconsider though and go for like Excelsior because the hours here really suck and make it difficult to work around! I see why people do these private ones though. You go at your own pace, nights weekends I guess. You cant really work full time and go to community college nursing school! Its impossible unless you want to kill yourself working overnight shifts and going to class the next day which is totally insane really!
Oct 16, 201312 yr Wow some of these prices are crazy! I guess it all depends on where you live as well. When I was looking to go back to school the lpn program I was looking at was $5200 with everything included.
Oct 16, 201312 yr $20000 I'll graduate October 201420k for Lpn sounds a bit excessive!Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
Oct 16, 201312 yr $14K, Florida & private school. I want be paying this much for my RN degree though, which seems kinda backwards. What can I say!
Oct 16, 201312 yr LVN is Southern California, graduated 2/2011 & my program was like $24,000. It's now close to $30,000. Whomever paid a lot less recently is VERY lucky. I'm now at a community college for LVN to RN & It's better.
