Oct 15, 201312 yr Even though I know my program was highly over priced reading these threads makes me feel like I paid more than most people do. My program was $28,000 and I graduated in 2010. How much was your program and what year did you graduate?
Oct 16, 201312 yr WOW...That sounds like alot of money for an LPN program. Im working on my ADN at my local community college and its about $10,000 total including pre-reqs, books, uniforms, and supplies. Then i will transfer to the local University for the RN-BSN transition program, thats another $6,000 for a grand total of about $16,000 out the door for my BSN. I guess it all depends where you're located and if your attending a community college v corporate training program for Nursing. Some programs around here can get up that $$ high and they are not even accredited. Good luck with whatever path you take.
Oct 16, 201312 yr Woww you guys are soooo lucky. I just graduated August of this year and my program was $27,000. That is a lot but after a 2 failed attempts to get into an RN program and getting put on a 2 1/2-3 year waiting list, I had to do what I had to do.
Oct 17, 201312 yr http://www.oswegoboces.org/web/adult/courses/files/Adult%20Ed%20Catalog%202012-2013.pdfTotal cost for the LPN Program at our local BOCES now is $8450.00, which includes the NCLEX fee of $343.00.
Oct 17, 201312 yr $37,000 in southern California. Expensive. But after grants and taking advantage of their tuition match program, I will have paid around $24,000. I'll be graduating with $20,000 in debt. Oh well. I'm sure the RN bridge program won't be too expensive!
Oct 17, 201312 yr Right now the tuition at the votech lpn program in my town is about 13,000$ (yes, thirteen thousand) and it's way overpriced. At the local community college it's roughly 16000$, but some of the classes transfer to the RN program so it's a better deal in the end.
Oct 17, 201312 yr Hey lady,All is good! Thinking to get my pre-req. out the way, possibly Palm Beach College. Your time is wining down, I know your happy. Thanks for asking!
Oct 17, 201312 yr Less than $5000 total in 2010. Tuition was $3600 ($300/month for 12 months) + whatever I spent on Books, Uniforms, Supplies, Etc that were additional.
Oct 18, 201312 yr One of the community colleges around here costs $13,000 for a lpn. It is 11 months with no waiting list. But another community college is $12,000 for an adn but the waiting list is long.
Oct 18, 201312 yr I earned my LPN at my local adult/community vocational school in 2009. My tuition was in the ballpark of $5K, books, uniforms, and NCLEX fees included. The costs of program were paid by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) grant.
Oct 18, 201312 yr $10,500. including books @ a state vocational school. checked out a for profit program that wanted $23,000 which had a great reputation. but just couldn't swing it especial w/all the rumors saying lpns were going to be phased out; i just couldn't see myself getting further into debt. the vocational school had a sketchy vibe about it and many of my classmates felt the instructor could care a less if we learned anything...just in it for the paycheck. our graduation was lame. rushed, no hat, no candles...nothing just a pin if you ordered one and a certificate. i guess sometimes you do get what you pay for.
