HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Both the prerequisites and the extra classes I've taken that are not required for admission. Thank you! I'm just really worried that i messed up on my application because I was in such a hurry to turn it in :/

Don't worry to much just call because you still have until Monday. Also you are def going to be first what are you preferring.

I'm going to stop by tomorrow morning. I'm hoping for Dale Mabry evenings or mornings. How many applicants do they accept per semester?

Hi everyone! I will be applying to the spring semester as well and will be turning in my application tomorrow morning. I have been hoping to apply since last year but had issues with transcripts etc. Also my GPA is a 3.01 and I passed my TEAS with a 67 on the first try last year and wish I did better and I know getting into this program is competitive. I will be praying for myself. My question is with reading all the previous posts, how many applications do you feel they will be recieving this go around. I saw somewhere on this thread someone said theyre not recieving as much. Hopefully that can open up more slots and posiibilities of everyone getting their top selection in campuses and times. I also wanted to say ... Good luck everyone!!!! :)

Hi everyone! I just dropped off my application yesterday for the 2017 Spring semester! I'm super nervous but after reading some of the other posts here it's comforting to know I'm not the only one. I'm really glad I found this site!

I heard on previous post they accept around 160 applications don't know how true that is but depends on the campuses it may. I am also hoping for Dale Mabry evenings if not SouthShore morning will have to work which is closest to me.

Hello SS_DestinedRN_ and AlyssaRae3 I am also hoping they open up more but we shall see keep positive ladies I have seen a lot of people accepted even from last spring. So we will just all wait together anxiously.

I've also heard that they accept 160 applications . 2 more days till the deadline !

My advisor said that this past cycle they accepted 150 and had 190 applicants (which apparently is low) and the Spring typically has less applicants.... so hopefully a plus!

One of my professors last semester gave us a paper with statistics on applicants/accepted/lowest gpa accepted from various past semesters. I'm not sure where I put it but I can definitely look for it and post it if admin approves, or I can PM it to you guys. It will definitely make you feel better about your GPA's if you are worried. I feel like counselors try to scare you so much to get straight A's. When I first talked to a counselor about nursing, I was told to not let my pre-req GPA drop below a 3.6 or I would have zero chance of getting in. And that's just not true. I'll look for the paper when I get home and see if I can send it to whoever is interested :D

Yes I think they do that I would love to see the lowest I don't have the highest gpa at 3.6 and still worried because you never know.

People from spring 2016 got in with a low GPA of 3.3 I feel we have nothing to worry about but yeah we still have that doubt
