HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Ive seen plenty of applicants get in with a 3.5 and it's been less applicants each year just keep your head up. We are all nervous except the ones with 4.0 gpas who we know are guaranteed.

Out of curiosity, what would you consider to be the toughest pre-requisite course.

I would have to say Microbiology Lab I did it online smh a&p was a breeze

I would say college algebra was the hardest overall. I think the toughest science pre-req was probably a&p 1.

I took all of my pre-reqs expect for microbiology like 7 years ago and I was a very different student then so I couldn't say what was the hardest for me.

My hardest was definitely college algebra! Math is not my Forte at all! Out of science. ... Micro lab was toughest mainly because it was so much information and time consuming.

My hardest class was college algebra

Anyone else applying with a bachelors?

I love math I always have plus I had an awesome teacher which is always a plus. That usually plays a huge part on how your going to do ultimately.

Anyone else applying with a bachelors?

I am applying with a bachelors degree, do you know how those credits apply when finished with nursing school?

I don't know how it works with a bachelors but I'm sure nothing changes. I think depending on if you want to get your bachelors in nursing is when it will be beneficial the most because a lot of those credits will apply shortening your path. I think RN is just RN and they go by your prerequisite courses at HCC and then the overall to break a tie.
