Happy Friday

It is finally here, what a week! What ails your sick kiddos? I am starting to see higher temps and of course, the typical N & V.

Have a wonderful weekend :sarcastic:

Signs of illness are typical for this time of year. Student and staff whining has reached an epidemic level.

It's just the whine parade of congestion and all that goes with it (sore throat, mild nausea from pnd, headache) and the kids being frustrated that i won't send them home for a mild cold AND that i can't medicate them. I must give the same speech dozens of times a day.

TGIF!

I still have 3 days next week.

What I have I seen here? Concussions (basketball and wrestling) and mono. Also the stomach virus. Good times.

We have a whole school morning meeting. I had my PSA moment that explained why and what of coughing and the only thing I am going to tell you is drink lots of water. Far fewer whine visits.

Last day here! Woo! And only 3 hour attendance for the kids- most of it spent in an assembly! Yay!

2 high kids. :sorry:

I have had headaches and stomachaches. And an increase of bumped heads because our playground is a sheet of ice, and every one is out there acting like Tom Cruise in Risky Business...

I seem to see the same thing everyday...headaches and stomach aches, no fever, no N/V. Teachers keep sending them, I keep sending them back to class.

I have a parent falsifying dr notes! Hooray! I received a dr excuse note with what looked like a very suspicious "7" imposed over a "1" for the date the student could return to school... call to the clinic and, sure enough, it was supposed to say "1". Sigh.

Good detective work kidz. :)

Vomiting. SO MUCH VOMITING.

Norovirus is going around here. I gotta get out of this place.

I swear every teenage girl in my school is on her period this week. So many feminine supplies and acetaminophen/ibuprofen for cramps.

And yes, cold symptoms. Drink more water kiddos. I will not send you home for a runny nose. Many stomachaches - my bathroom was a revolving door poop zone this week.

Also, the other nurse at the my other campus was out yesterday. I got called there 3 times. I seriously got back to my school to be greeted by the office manager to tell "I'm so sorry, but you have to go back..."

To a situation where the counselor should have been called. :banghead:

I also have three days next week. Ugh.:arghh:
