Friday!

It is Fun Fitness Friday here at the Elementary so I have been in the gym watching the major volleyball tournament! We do a one of these at the end of every 9 weeks to replace a HUGE field day at the end of the year. The homeroom classes compete against one another in bracket play!

Each 9 weeks is something different, obstacle courses, zumba, kickball, etc... Lots of fun but they keep me hopping with ice packs :)

Happy Friday peeps! What's everyone's Friday/weekend look like??

My students have a short day today (3 hours??) and I took the rest of the day off to go get fingerprinted for my new job and attend an in-service at my other job. I have a date tonight and then I work this weekend 7-3 at my other job. But Monday off! Woo!

Going out for a friend's bday tomorrow night. She wants to get dinner and see a band. The band doesn't start until 10 and i have to work early, so I don't know that I will stay for that part.

Dating is not as thrilling as it sounds... I never knew so many adults were so unmotivated in life until I started dating again!

We have G-parents Day on Veteran's Day and there's always a contest for the oldest veteran at our Chapel service. I'm glad I'm not the only nurse who gets a little nervous over this and double-checks the batteries in the AEDs. There were so many WWII vets this time, including my own 90 year old grandfather who traveled 3 hours to be here only to immediately fall asleep. I kept glancing over to make sure his chest was rising and falling. He still hikes 6-8 miles every weekend but, man, he's out like a light every time he sits down!

My weekend is full with a 3-day volleyball tournament. All day, errday. My parents are coming so we also have company all weekend. Sunday is my daughter's "Gotcha Day" which means it's the 11th Anniversary since she was placed in our arms. That's a very special, celebrated day in our house..even bigger than her birthday since it's the day our family was officially awesome.

Fridays typically are slow for me. I can't wait for this 3 day weekend. I am seeing Young Frankenstein the musical tomorrow and then shopping on Monday.
